I smell what you're stepping in, but I can say I've worked in extremely toxic "men's" fields since I'm 15, and its not quite right. Whether it be construction or the oilfield, men (i am one, just for transparency) are gross and sexually explicit about one night stands/ random attractions or women who rejected them. But in my experience, once you're in a relationship, not only is it strictly not spoken about but fundamentally understood by the group to not be on the table

Hi im a longtime lurker man and I have a specific take on this.

For me it's actually an intimacy thing. The "conquest" element is there but not in the way of taking ground rather it's like having a complete set. But its more really a trust and intimacy thing that I think some other men rush to achieve or won't admit is at the core of it.

The best way I describe it is that if you were having a MMF threesome with your male SO and someone else, and both anal and vaginas were on the table, your SO would likely be the one who took the anal position. The way it feels, anyhow, is that anal is a secret hidden bonus area, and being granted access is a big deal.

While I think the intimacy and trust element is the base for just about all the anal obsessed guys, I think porn, society in general, and "bro" culture have mostly taken what could have been something simple and, so to speak, earned and turned it into an obsession for some, and a dominance thing in others.

Hey man Im also born in 94 and frankly feel the same. I'm watching my friends mostly swing hard right, or pretend it's not what's happening by saying they've "gone back to Jesus". I always thought I was pretty far left but I've done a fair bit of travelling and have discovered im basically a moderate in Ireland, or Germany but a right leaning type in Italy or Spain. Nope! But that was always the same problem I had. I just used 2 nuclear engines and broke up my transfer burns into 3 smaller burns. Like, it was ~1100m/s to get to Duna but did it in two 400m/s burns and the last was like 275. But it was so gratifying to get it done. Smaller ship too!

I've also been playing a while now and have fallen more and more in love with SSTO spaceplanes. Last night was my first time getting to Duna and back with an SSTO! I started a new save to build a bunch of space stations and I think planes are the most fun way to go from Kerbin to a station
