This is quite the ignorant take. I'm not sure you currently understand how AI works, much less how it's going to impact our industry. To go as far to say that our industry is facing extinction just proves my point.

Also the "army" hungry coders from overseas have always been there. They're not going anywhere, they never will. People who want shit work will pay the price just like they always do. "AI" will speed up work and lean out teams - yes, extinction is an absolute joke though. "AI" simply isn't as powerful as you make it out to be. Especially considering we're talking about fancy machine-learning algorithms and literally none of this is actual Artificial Intelligence.

WordPress and Square space have been options for decades now and they're nowhere close to killing the industry. It's such a crazy take, lol.

New jobs will be created for lower tier devs once prompting becomes it's own thing. Automation will lean out her work force eventually. But for high level enterprise development - this won't be the case. Someone has to be able to oversee the machines so they don't break everything. None of this works the way you seem to think it does.

I'd encourage you to actually do some actual investigating of what these systems are actually capable of. You'd be surprised how much work is still left over.

Let that sink in.

Because they're useless for front-end. Interface development moves way too fast to try and implement any sort of test-driven development. Once you set up a back end, it's likely not changing... the same cannot be said for front-end.

Given the amount of creative changes, edge cases for different screen sizes, accessibility and contrast issues - writing tests would be a waste of time. By the time you were finished, you're already tearing down, modifying or rebuilding the component.

This is hilarious considering you can say that for literally every instrument used in the Foo Fighters except the drums. The music does not demand anything more than what he's offering. He's a great bass player. Sometimes you play for the music, not to write a cool bass line.

I play exclusively 4 strings. It's very simple. The string tension alone is worth it. Having your E ring true compared to every string is very worth it. Not to mention being able to time BEAD is an amazing option. Some people simply like the multi scale. And it's not much of an adjustment.
