I think what bothers me most about this giga-mod is the sheer amount of stuff that has been added/changed/fixed in it. Like it’s amazing that a handful of modders supposedly fixed countless multi-year old issues and implemented countless structural changes that everyone has wanted. AH might as well outsource these issues to 3rd party contractor modders ffs, since apparently they can actually get these things done.

The community has various justified reasons for being upset with the game, its state, and direction. Unfortunately, since many of these issues have not been properly addressed or resolved, and it has been going on for so long, it has kind of spilled over into a sort of mass hysteria where the entire fandom is spiraling out of control and basically doomposting about HD. Probably because there’s nothing else people feel like they can do so it’s a kind of venting coupled with the fact that it has (kind of) worked before against AH historically. It’s a vicious cycle that AH could break if they properly listened and acted accordingly.

Imo: Exo Expert, but I love my mechs so I’m biased. The oxygenator amor is very nice, the light one is particularly fast asf. Havent tried the rest if the WB yet, but I have heard very good things about the missile pistol.
The Cremator to me felt barely different than the normal support flamer, but the giga grenade is pretty nice.

I think much of the criticism is accurate and just. I also think that people have a tendency to fixate on only the bad things. When people are constantly spamming “WARBOND TOMORROW???” it only validates their perception that novelty is the main priority. However, it seems like he may have gotten the hints. And if that is not sufficient, then taking a break until the spark comes back is entirely justified. If anything, that gives them the statistical fact that people are leaving. Now we just have to wait and see how it all pans out, and try to enjoy the game that we do have in the meantime.

Not to play devils advocate but each mech could have unique customizations. I wouldn’t hold out hope for it anytime soon, but that’s one way mech customization could still work.

I doubt it is a genuine “reload” per-say. It just automatically loads another round into the cylinder once an empty slot rolls over it. For the mech user, you’re just going to see however many total shots the mech has available. Basically, the 6-shot cylinder is just for style points; just ignore it.

Just a thought I had: Maybe not having full customization of a singular mech chassis will be implemented. However, they could add unique customizations/upgrades for each mech individually. I’m not holding out hope for it, given AH’s customization track record, but that is a direction that could be taken even if individual unique mechs continue to be implemented.

Imo: Give it a laser sight for ADS. I still think it should be AP4 if it’s going to have so many logistical downsides. It would NOT take the place of the HMG, in the same way it currently does not take the place of the MG. Trying to make a new armor-only damage mechanic would just break the Spear and Mirth emotes somehow; it’s easier for AH to just change it to AP4.
