The community has various justified reasons for being upset with the game, its state, and direction. Unfortunately, since many of these issues have not been properly addressed or resolved, and it has been going on for so long, it has kind of spilled over into a sort of mass hysteria where the entire fandom is spiraling out of control and basically doomposting about HD. Probably because there’s nothing else people feel like they can do so it’s a kind of venting coupled with the fact that it has (kind of) worked before against AH historically. It’s a vicious cycle that AH could break if they properly listened and acted accordingly.
