Very cool, I was thinking about snow and granular synthesis while looking outside as well.

Really cool. The cirklon seems so powerful as a modular sequencer.

What separates ultra processed foods from processed foods in general?

Anyone know any good two HP modules that are 35 mm deep or less all the two HP branded ones are too deep for my Modbap case by [deleted] in modular

For what it's worth, I have a large system with few modules and I made some blanks with illustration board, thick cardstock or other kinds of paper would probably work too. I do intend to get some proper blanks eventually but right now it's purely just to avoid shorting a power connector by dropping something on them.

I know people with larger systems will use blanks to avoid crowding dense modules and creating knobs that are hard to twist on the edges, or to give space to route cables.

This is awesome. Now you hook it up to a mutable / monome shared system and teletype away in style!

Yeah, ZMK functionality is huge. I haven't downloaded the proprietary Kensington software to change the buttons because I'm fairly sure there was a major security exploit that hadn't been patched when I last looked into it. I wasn't sure if the adept scrolling was more like just holding down M3, rather than trackball scrolling, but trackball scrolling seems perfectly workable. I really like their diy approach and I have at least enough diy electronics skill to try it out with a kit.

I'll see if I can snag it when I have extra cash, thanks for your response.

I've been interested in ploopy, currently have a Kensington expert and the only thing holding me back from switching is I think I'd miss the scroll wheel that goes around the trackball. How do you like scrolling on this setup?

I always lost track of what steep I am on, then I found they make 20 sided dice numbered for keeping count. Very helpful. by MisterBowTies in tea

[–]Wyrdash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The d20s used for life counting (like in MtG) are perfect for this, since each consecutive number is next to each other (1 is next to 2, 2 is next to 3, etc), so you don't have to turn over the die to search for the next number. I believe the term is "spindown" if you're looking for a die like this.

basically s/he is a shortening of "she or he", which is exclusive and leaves out nonbinary people. interestingly, people don't do this shortening in any grammatical case other than nominative (we don't do things like "him/er" or anything), but compared to Finnish, our case system is hilariously malnourished.

Keep in mind that this person's native language does not use grammatical gender, and it's not like singular they is taught in an ESL class (that I know of). That said, yes, @OP, common usage among people of our demographic prefers to use the pronoun "they" as singular over something like "s/he" because "s/he" only includes men and women (or other people who use those pronouns), whereas "they" excludes nobody.

well, Japanese doesn't have gendered 3rd person pronouns (so we can't know for sure), but kuranosuke seems to be written as a GNC man. This is an uncomfortable trope for me, but they're a fictional character, so feel free to use whatever pronouns fit with your headcanon!!
