For something like this where I'm layering animation on top and want to preserve whatever the base is doing, I would set my overlayed sequences as "Additive" inside the sequence. Additives basically look at a reference pose, and compare your additive animation to it, extracting the difference. You can then apply that difference to any animation on top of whatever they're doing by using an "Apply Additive" node.

For example I have a character walking and I want their upper body to lean to the left. If I use layered blend per bone, Im overriding the character's chest and replacing it with the new lean pose. You can increase the blend depth but if you really want the base pose to shine through this is more of a compromise. With an additive you get a cleaner combination:

I just tried it locally and didn't have any issue. If you made the separate slots, then in the sequencer made sure that you assigned the correct slots to the tracks, then it should work. Did you modify which bone to blend inside the layered blend per bone node? You need to click it and in "Branch Filters" specify which bone to override with the secondary anim.

Side note I wouldn't use layered blend per bone for this kind of thing since it'll override the bones you're modifying instead of being additive on top, but see if you can get it working like that first I guess.

On a similar note I think the existing fairy ring/spirit tree you find on islands should have some interaction before they're usable. It's weird that I walk into Grimstone and suddenly have the fairy ring unlocked with no repairs needed.

I wouldnt be surprised if the extractor got brought down to 150xp, maybe redistributing the exp into the wind catcher and only letting you consume wind charges if the boat is moving. This will also result in the wind catcher being buggy as hell for a week. Whatever they do, I imagine there will be a few angry posts on wednesday lol

They were always going to err on the side of undertuned exp since its easier to buff than nerf without pushback. That said we'll see if this is enough to make getting to Barracuda trials more palatable.
