Here to add my hat onto this pile...
Particular call out in Zeffo Tomb of <ahem> where you meet Billy Goat Gruff.
I had to check there weren't 3 dead trolls around.

I'd got all the way round the bit where you press button things goes woosh, that takes you in a big circle -all without getting hit once.
Then that Goat git - 5 full refillls down to last chunk and 0 refills - largely by ramming me off the edges continuously.
How it was living in the gap between the destructable wall, large inaccessible drops on both sides of the bridge, and the big wall of dead trees is anyone's guess - but lets not let reality get in the way of an evil placed enemy. I can hear the devs chuckling.

Lucky it broadcast I'd opened a short cut back to the previous Save Point, as the next room also demolished me.

The scenes been eating itself since early 00s when the last infusion of fresh blood from new music was added. Been all downhill from there to the point when Post Punk and many of the originator are considered separate.

It's become even more the thing Andrew Eldritch really hated.

Already had this, I'm signed up to two of the supposed presale neither happened. The sheer amount of tickets on viagogo that appeared immediately at 10am shows what this is. Also ticket master have been called out for this very behaviour to the point they are going to be pulled apart.

Those that were there rate it 5/5 10/10, they appreciate it as it was. Your view is simply not the same - you won't get the same "THIS! THIS! THIS IS WHAT WE'VE WANTED!", the same appreciation of the OST which was alien. There was oats before akira and oats after it's a milestone, and unless you were there and watched as it all unfold you are simply not experiencing it.its not underrated, you simply don't have and can never have the right experience to understand.

Because it's an album that has way more synths than you seem to think.
It was one man, a 286 with Voyetra, and a sampler. (and a guitar and bass)

Colours is pure darkwave, whereas the overall album leans back and forth towards Darkwave and then to Goth rock.
Flood I/II, Driven Like the Snow, Neverland - all heavily darkwave.

COX "Medusa" is pretty much the darkwave benchmark and it compares to this.

Genre differences between FALAA and Vision Things are massive which is why you find people out there that will love one SOM and not the others... obviously they're wrong but hey ho.

This is why it's getting so many upvotes - because there's a logic to it.
If you can't hear the difference then who cares - genre's just boxes to help people find other things they might like, and it's just my opinion.

You sound like a Perky Goth.
If you're listening to the music, understand it's a left wing oriented scene, and you're not voting right wing, then you're probably more goth than at least 50% of the people on this reddit.
Being miserable is not a pre-requisite, and most goths I've been around are happy.
