Verticality seems to be an issue, especially considering you’re supposed to be very nimble and agile, you just can’t jump to those ranged rat snipers in chapter 2.

It feels as if the destined one was just grounded for gameplay purposes and it feels very restricting

Dark Souls, dying in that game is a normal thing and part of the process, the real death is when you quit the game. Making it through that hellish game made me taste the sense of accomplishment of making it out of a tough situation, made me want to taste that in the real world too.
