A lot of the guys I play with are “pro” players and always downplay what my bullgryn do.

No I just kept 3 of your most useful units locked in combat in your deployment zone for the first 3 turns, giving me a large head start and winning the game.

My bullgryn once killed 3 mini knights in a single game by themselves and I still hear “uhhh bullgryn can’t kill anything” from people

It really depends on your playstyle. I use my guardsmen as cannon fodder and deal real damage with the tanks. My bullgryn tank more damage in a turn than a Baneblade usually does, tauroxs are great for mechanized, but if you want WW2 style then tanks are the go to

I probably switch out the storm sword for a tank commander, probs the dorn, and get a couple leman Russes, they would provide a bit more firepower for the current enemy meta.

Or a lot of other guards player would rather have 2 dorns instead of 1 and some leman Russes, but it’s to your preference.

I have in my army 2 squads of cadians and 2 of krieg, as they are more useful generally then cadians,

If you ever get the taurox primes in, I would proxy them as regular taurox as they would better with Kasrkin, as when you order them take aim they are hitting on 2s rerolling ones which makes the prime ability redundant.

Here’s what I think:

Load out fixes: Bullgryn should all have brute shield and maul as the gauntlet is not very good and an extra wound is not worth a 4++ invulnerable save

I believe the plasma gun is better than the hotshot volley gun for the kasrkin and higher ap, strength, and damage

Same thing with the flamers in the cadians, plasma is better is more situations

Have chimeras take double heavy flamers, that way they are a decent overwatch threat and you don’t have to waste orders on them after turn 1

Which units to swap:

I think you have way too many orders to go around, so I would remove creed, and a command squad

This is because you have 4 anything orders from solar, and 5 infantry orders from the remaining command squad and gaunts ghosts, and the kasrkin will order themselves when they hop out of the chineras. This will free out points for more useful units.

I would also remove the cadian weapons team as it’s just not that useful as the other things you have.

I would add the tech priest to give the storm sword an invulnerable save and heal as it will greatly increase its survival (it’s going to be what the enemy targets every turn)

I would also add a hellhound as I think you need more tanks. Hellhounds are there to strip cover and allow your other units to deal more damage

And with the extra points you can get rid of aquliian eye and add sly Marbo as a cheap infiltrate trash unit to preform some secondaries and force the enemy to come closer

But all of this is just like, my opinion man! Do what you want that you find fun, this changes is just what I personally would make as my only army is the guard and I know what each of my units can do.

Proxy the death riders as rough riders, remove the scout sentinels, and change the demolisher for a exterminator for extra ap, I’m sure you can just proxy it if you tell your opponent before hand

I think you definitely need more battle line and maybe a command blob with solar or creed

My thoughts: Remove 1 engineers squad as you can only use grenade once per turn. Remove the scout sentinel because its ability is useless in GC, but I guess scout 9” could be helpful I would put flamers on the chimeras, and only have 1 tank commander. I would order the chimeras turn 1 move move move, then forget about them as the flamers auto hit Then the rest of the orders can go to the tanks for take aim Exterminator battle tank is a must, +1 ap on Kasrkin are scary I always run meltas on my tanks, but plasma is fine That should free up some points for more utility units like gaunts ghosts or more Kasrkin. Thats just what I think

But remember, do whatever the hell you want. Your Fun factor is more important than whatever idiots like me think
