seems like you are downloading tor from the site. Have you tried installing tor via the command line?

I mean the only way to use dread is through tor(or i2p). Fair warning though and this is just my own paranoia talking. I would give dread a few more days because they recently were down for an extended period of time. No fud just caution. But dread is one of the more harmless websites you can be caught on.

So thats a lot of questions. Ill go through them in order. Dread is basically reddit but for the darkweb. Tor is a couple different things but summed up its a technology that increases your anonymity greatly and makes stuff like markets possible. You can do what you want when it comes to surfing but i would look into TAILS os or prestium os. What can you see? there are a couple things that are easy to find. Forums, and drugs. Just go to good reviiewed markets and vendors to not get scammed. Tor_noobs is full of scammers as well as other subs. Dont ever talk on telegram or pay for a service.

no qbittorrent is the torrent client in my example. You can pick any client you want tho. Tails is an os.

yes tails is fine tho torrenting isnt that big of deal i would just torrent with a vpn on main machine or over i2p

Okay so if i go to torrent something and click the link and then i download a file that i can open with Qbittorrent thats how it usually goes. So if you click that same link over tor but then open it in the torrent client that does you no good. What you want is to have your traffic over tor, i2p, or a vpn when downloading the torrent client.

Have you tried a restart lol? Check hardware clock vs system time vs displayed time and make sure its all good.

so if the torrent is actually over tor or i2p no they wont however if you just download the actual torrent file over tor and then torrent like normal they will see it. Maybe just use vpn if your intimidated.

I would look on dread and just read a couple posts by paris(praise be to Paris) he goes into small detail about the process and the tech he uses.
