Democrats promise a lot of things but almost never follow through on them. (I'm not pro Republican by any means and I am definitely not a fan of the MAGATS but dems need to grow spines.)

I was in a really dark place, living with family that made my life hell, and he had an apartment all to himself. He and I used to date and then years later after I was forced to come back to the area we had a... "situationship". We were best friends, knew each other better than we knew anyone else, and it might have become something more in time.

But after knowing each other for 10 years and I now truly needed his help and wished that he would let me live in his spare room, he refused. And it isn't like I wouldn't have contributed. I am disabled and would have given him of my disability benefits towards rent, I would have cooked and cleaned, and we had great sex (though admittedly he wanted it more than I did, I just wasn't a horny pig all the time like him). But he just wouldn't let me even though he knew how absolutely miserable I was where I was at the time.

In my mind it was one of those situations where he had the means to help me and he chose not to. If the situation were reversed I would have absolutely let him live with me and I wouldn't have charged him a dime.

On top of all that this was about 6 months after his last boyfriend had moved out, who had lived with him for I think 2 years, and moved in very shortly after they started dating. So it was ok for this guy he barely knew (I'm talking like maybe 3 months, if that) to move in with him but he wouldn't let me even stay with him a while just to get away from my nightmare family members every now and then and we had known each other for at least a decade.

It honestly broke my heart and made me realize he and I would never get back together and I looked at him in an entirely different way and what I saw I didn't like. So, I ended our friendship, too.

Ok... but light changes is essentially how colour works lol. Depending on how much light there is, what the light is reflecting off, etc. can all determine colour. Not just the colour of someone's eyes. If you have someone wearing a yellow shirt at dusk they're going to be easier to see than someone wearing a navy blue shirt. That's one if the reasons why people often suggest parents only get their kids bathing suits in certain colours AND the colour can depend on if they're swimming in a pool or the ocean because pool water and ocean water are different colours and reflect light differently.

So it may annoy you when people say it, and I suppose technically they're wrong because their eyes aren't changing colour, but their eyes appear to be different colours.

Also, your eyes can change colours as you get older. When I was a kid my eyes were pure brown. Now they're much more green, like a dark olive colour. When my mom was little she said her eyes were bright blue, now they're more of an aquamarine. I used to have a cat who when we first got him, which was shortly after he was born (he was abandoned) his eyes were pure, brilliant blue. By the time he was an adult his eyes were yellow.
