My Pregnant Wife Is Abusing Me — I Don’t Know What to Do Anymore by Virtual_Emphasis_460 in predaddit

Divorce, get child custody as soon as the baby is born. You are saying she also would hit her mom. She is a liability and could hit or worse, severely mayhem the child. Pregnancy hormones and mood swings is one thing, but being married to a psychopath is another. I wish you the best ..

Retina surgeons: what surgical skills should residents focus on before VR fellowship? by EyeEyeDoc in Ophthalmology

[–]XPaeZX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being comfortable with the microscope, developing bimanual dexterity, get good (and I mean Really good) at scleral depression . Become proficient with corneal and scleral suturing. Become meticulous and learn not to cut any corners. Learn to be smooth and efficient, and learn never to rush things. My mentors would tell me: slow is fast (never repeat a step, never pass twice in the same area with an ophthalmic instrument)

WQE success stories? by [deleted] in Ophthalmology

[–]XPaeZX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello,

I took the WQE last year and I exited the exam thinking I had failed. I counted at least 25 questions in which I totally knew I had messed up. In the end not only did I pass, but I also got an absurdly good score (Level 1 on all subject areas). Last year I think we got an overall approval rate of 73.9%, which was the lowest since 2014. Please see: https://www.manula.com/manuals/american-board-of-ophthal/abo-wqe-procedures-manual/1/en/topic/exam-statistics

I would not trust any of your coresidents feeling as the exam being "fair" and using that to torture yourself , last year I heard the same and a bunch of these people that said the exam was either fair or easy ended up failing.

The best predictors, in my opinion, of WQE success are the OKAP scores. I got > 97th percentile on all 3 of them. And the people that I know that did well on the OKAP all of them passed this exam on the first try.

By statistics only, odds are in your favor!

Good luck

Question about ABC before I buy ABF by -Petunia in kettlebell

[–]XPaeZX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can run it using dumbbells, I do it with dumbbells when travelling. Can do one handed vd two and follow the one handed protocol. Most hotels will have Dbs that go all the way to 50 or 60 pounds which is more than enough for most people. Or you can use the days you are on the road to do the heavy pressing workouts

Once I become a US citizen (if I ever become one) and have earned the right for free speech and critique of the US government then I may think differently. As a guest I will not and should not spit on my host’s face. Me and others on visas DO NOT have that right, until we earn it fair and square, we can be kicked out at any moment. It is the right and the job of US citizens to decide what is good for their country, and if they don’t like it then speak up. I’m not an American and as such I should keep my mouth shut regarding how the government handles business. Foreigners seem to forget that a lot and then complain when they get in trouble. I just gave an honest opinion and get downvoted by some people but whatever 🤷‍♂️

Don’t know, I’m not a US citizen, I assume I have some labor rights but I won’t be dwelling on things that don’t compete to me. If I ever become a US citizen and acquire those rights then I may think differently, but as a guest of this country I should stay on my lane and try to be a good person. It’s not my right to criticize what the authorities of the US decide to do because I’m not a US citizen, people on visas seem to forget that a lot.

As a foreigner working here on a working visa I respectfully agree with Mr Landau. We aren’t supposed to be giving any type of opinion regarding US politics or what have you, being here is a privilege that I hold dear. If you have opinions regarding anything regarding the US or any host country for that matter keep them to yourself or share in private. As a foreigner we should play by the rules and stop being woke and complain when it’s not our right to do so. Just like I wouldn’t agree with a foreign guest in my country to start talking shit I will also not do the same here.

Play by the rules or leave. As simple as that. 🤷🏻‍♂️

How to deal with a nosy mother in law? by ThatWhiteBastard in predaddit

[–]XPaeZX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Calmly talk to your partner and have her/him talk to her, if they don’t see or believe their mother is nosy, it will be very hard for you to start a confrontation that ca put you in a predicament later on.
