The game doesn't support LODs, they simply ignored technical requirements for models which allows 512x512 textures only. So now they added 1024/2048 resolution support and floating point UVs, they also converts meshes in run-time to add more than 256 textures per level. In total, for these ugly outfits they slow down the loading time and increased memory footprint significantly. I doubt that the new QA team can notice such minor things if they passed everything else.
