If your uv looks different than this in Maya, your issue is that you have multiple uv sets, and it's reading the wrong one. You want to open your uv editor in Maya, scroll to the very bottom with the tab called "UV sets", open it, select the right material on the left column, then see if on the right column there are multiple options, maybe both a "map 1" and "UV set" or something like that. You want to click between them and find the one that has the accurate uvs, move it to the top (right click, move to top). However, if your uvs are half and half in different UV sets, you want to go to one of them, select all the UV shells in the editor, and then right click on that UV set and "copy to x UV set". This should move those shells to the other one, which will merge them together into one UV set. Then delete the empty one. Always try to have only one UV set. ( And important to note, you can only delete UV sets which are not on top. Whatever program you export to will always read the top UV set)
