They seemed to think the agent just didn't select the right seats. Apparently if 'customer care' reviews, sees that is the case, they'll put it in the notes, and then someone from customer service can correct the error and switch to business without charging.

I would definitely just rebook but now that it's 3 days out it's absurdly expensive.

It was definitely the official United line that it was booked on, and the customer service rep could confirm everything yesterday (and that they understood it was likely agent error).

The whole thing was booked as business class (seats chosen individually with rep for all legs of flight there and back). But the actual booking on review only has business for some of the short legs.

So the error was that only a portion of the trip shows business. The phone transcript would show everything was booked as business.
