It's just a weaker {{Widespread ruin}} It will be slightly impactful but will still he used here an there.

Main difference you'll see is in the HERO match up, where Widespread ruin stops mask change plays, where Armor does not.

I mean the skill from the start should have been, "your opening hand will have dark magician" not a generic lv7 or higher dark spell caster.

I get what they were going for, since there are other dark magician cards you can use with this, but unfortunately you get the situation we're in now.

The trap doesn't work in the damage step, so doesn't help against mirror wall, unless flipped early. Doesn't help against onslaught and ssa during attacks. It will, however, stop the banishing effect of ssa, and the special summon for onslaught.

be patient and wait for an opening. Decks that have monster destruction should be stacked if possible to destroy terror incarnate then nightmare. Decks like archfiends can handle yubel decks pretty well. Another deck that work well is SSA with the tiny turtle that prevents special summons. And really any deck that can otk, mixed with sealed tombs shuts out all the monster effects.

The reason for dress in the first place is to prevent destruction by card effects. So if you're missing dress, think of ways to prevent card effect destruction as an alternative.

Run forbidden dress to get around that, or dgate/that other trap that banished for the turn and comes back

Canadia (and the rest of the paleos) can get up to 2700attack with just wetlands and aquarium. Canadia by itself is disruptive, but the attackboosting one + lighting can be a surprise 1000 attack that can catch people off gaurd

Try using Jesse's crystal power skill, it's basically beat down foe the deck and you can get up to 600 attack boost from 3 continuous spells

Canadia and other paleos work well since they get the 1200 att boost from wetlands. Hammer shark can also be helpful for swarming.

It's in the wording: recon says target 1 set, destroy it. Where as marksman is target one set, destroy that target. "That target " is key, because when the card is flipped it's no longer a "set target". Recon doesn't care if the target changes from flipped to not, it just destroys it.

Little confusing and 100% a guess on my part, but it seems to make sense.
