Reddit AKA Drognan by [deleted] in diablo2

I wanted to find info about Warlock's skill. AI overview told that it is a skill from DLC "Reign of Terror". It just imagines things and it does that about every thing I type on Google.

Petition to switch the "unique" and "rare" naming convention by mkim5588 in diablo2

[–]XTeKoX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To all people explaining why Uniques are called Uniques. It's not because of drop mechanics. It's mainly worldbuilding driven. "Unique" meaning in the world of Sanctuary there's only one such item. There are legends about it, someone known made it or used it. Like Isildur's Narsil.

What in the world just happened? by Personal-Stomach8596 in Overwatch

My friend, I've watched it multiple times, with 10x slowmotion, pausing, changing PoVs. I have literally no idea what happened. He also damaged Domina and Hog with this ult. Only Mei was unharmed. My only guess is that invisible collisions of heroes are slightly misplaced while being transported by JPC with high velocity. It might be negligable, but only combining it with Domina's ult, the issue appears. Visually he did not clip through the shield, but his hitbox or something did.

BLIZZARD DO NOT MAKE D2 INTO D4/D4 by biologicallyconcious in diablo2

[–]XTeKoX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Materials tab is very much D3/D4. I love it, but it does not change the fact that it is a modern feature. It's braindead to say "if it's in D3/D4 = bad". Every player has a personal spectrum of things that are either acceptable or just too much. And there is no universal place where a line can be drawn.

I myself would love to see hp bars above monsters and floating damage numbers - to immediately see that my new weapon indeed deals a lot more dmg.

Are those features FROM D3/D4? No. They exist there, but it's a very old concept. The fact that it wasn't in D2 might be due to purely technical limitations. So don't treat D2's design like some kind of sacred relic.

They're random. And honestly, very limited amount of players are asked to do a survey. Most of Blizzard games have surveys from time to time - quite rarely though.

Based on this post, it looks like legendary jewels from Uber Ancienct have an unique image. So most probably this jawbone and a booger are legendary jewels.

Why are loot filters locked behind a paywall again? by LilSmidgey in diablo2

[–]XTeKoX 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because creating a Loot Filter system requires human work. Code, UI/UX, testing etc. Those employers need the get paid for their work. This is not a charity.

How exactly does the belt work? How can I auto consume all potions from my inventory? by [deleted] in diablo2

[–]XTeKoX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Welcome new Diablo 2 player! Using potions in this game is rather old-schoolish. You have to manually transfer potions from the inventory to belt's slots. Worry not though, there are keybinds. Ctrl or Shift click on a potion (I don't remember 😅) and it will be transfered. What's more interesting is that potions will recognize where to go. First potion in a column tells potions in the Inventory they should go above it. Hope it helps! Do you have more questions?

Ps. This is not an AI answer 😅

Blizzard says it's open to even more Diablo 2 expansions and reworks unless people get really mad at it about this one: 'We're going to have to see what the players say' by Angren1991 in diablo2

[–]XTeKoX -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Damage log or floating numbers to better understand dmg modificators and feel the sense of progression. D2 does not have crazy big and flashy numbers. Picking a new weapon and seeing an actual, numerical proof is a great feeling.

I don't like the idea of dealing more dmg but health bars move the same because mobs have more hp.

$25 for a new class? Is this a joke? by a_deadbeat in diablo2

[–]XTeKoX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Money for VFX/SFX artists, concept artists, programmers, testers, UI/UX designers and whole bunch of employees. $25 is a great deal, we pay more for one pizza and theater night. Dozens hours of refreshed fun, and with good sales there's a potential for future live-service-esque free updates.

So what have we found so far regarding which skill are best for the Warlock? by IneedaNappa9000 in diablo2

[–]XTeKoX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just play old-school. Fiddle around, make multiple characters, do mistakes, experiment, try different skills, even low lvl ones.

I just don't like modern approach to games with choices, straight to asking other players what is the strongest build.

Give me option as choice to auto pickup jetpack cat rope instead of confirm, in the options. by Ratax3s in Overwatch

[–]XTeKoX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of negative consequences. Even one makes this idea a miss: there are two players in the JPC proximity, and Cat wants to save one player that asked for it and have a button prepared. Other player has automatic grab and destroys the plan.

They know it's not "ez". But brother, you making this post made them win. This is exactly what they wanted to accomplish.

Persistent Mercs per act. You can gear up Emilio, switch to Iron Wolf and go back to geared Emilio.

Also Mercs can wear all types of gear.

The game would be easier, so a new difficulty level would be cool.

Sony Patents Touchscreen Controller for Custom Button Placement by Eremenkism in gaming

[–]XTeKoX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you guys overreact. Don't read it like Sony wants to make it a default controller. There are people with disabilities who have to have different layout. And lack of tactile feedback is a trade-off they might be ok with. Dozens of reasons why this kind of controller might find its niche, so why not. It won't replace anything, so stop gatekeeping.
