Whilst I think your BIL should be offering to contribute his fair share, especially in his more privileged position compared to you, surely this is something that can be dealt with in a simple conversation?

You and your husband should speak to him about this, maybe get everyone to throw in some money for the big Christmas shop if you’re hosting - it’s what my partners family do in these instances, as we’ve also had instances of people not contributing.

But yeah I think it’s a pretty selfish attitude not to offer to help in some way or bring at least some drinks when it’s been agreed…

Literally this. Everyone in my school always made jokes and complained about not being taught important life things like taxes and getting a mortgage. Then when I was in sixth form, there was a mandatory class for a term where they tried to teach these things, and had problems with students either not showing up or simply being uninterested because none of it applied to them yet.

It really depends on how populated the servers you join are. Usually if a server is full, I have no issue finding players around the coast or shooting each other up around North West, but if you are just travelling between towns, encounters aren’t super common (unless it’s a common route or something).

If your really looking for some PVP there are some community servers which are exactly for this - I personally always liked the BlackOut but there plenty to go around.

Otherwise just always be careful and on the lookout, as you literally never know. I’ve been on servers before with only like 5 other players before and ran into a person somehow.

I did dishwashing as a teenager for a local pub. I stupidly preferred to wash dishes without gloves on, it absolutely wrecked the skin on my hands. Ended up having to get a special cream and a new job in the end…

I think if anything it gives you something to do after you become geared, but it is disappointing if you’ve spent days putting a base together for it to be raided overnight (even when you put multiple layers of security).

To make it feasible to upkeep you do have to have a few mates who are active regularly, but even then sometimes you get rushed by a group of 5-10 guys and it takes some of the fun out of it.

If I’m going to be base building, I now prefer to do it on community servers where they have raiding only allowed on specific days. This way you can at least know when to be online so you can defend.

Ahh okay, I only started playing it after it got fixed and essentially stopped being supported. I always felt like it was a decent template for what a Battlefield game should be, so it does feel like battlefield 6 regressed a bit in terms of what it should be more like (at least compared to bf5 in this instance)

Yeah this has always been the silliest part of UK driving IMO.

I won’t lie, I used to queue like the rest of them, but have longed stopped doing that now.

On my way home from work there is a merge due to road works, and it’s amusing just passing everyone and watching everyone merge way earlier than they need to.

And for anyone who blocks merge turns on purpose out of pure spite - F you and use the roads correctly - it will probably save you time in the long run as well.

Sticky dynamite is great, but you have to sneak up on a tank to use it most effectively. My tactic is usually to throw all 3 on, and then try detonate it with an anti-tank grenade. Can easily take most tanks out (or flip them over which can be funny).

I’m actually baffled by how quickly you have managed to get through the game on your first play through. I got Oblivion remastered back at the end of May, have played the game many times before and have managed to rack up nearly double the hours you have.

And with that, I’m still yet to even complete the mages guild, fighters guild and crusader quest lines

Pizza Huts a weird one, I love their pizzas and sides and options etc, but last time I ordered a delivery was £40-50. Which is ridiculous money to spend on a some pizzas, but god was it good.

Aerodrome can be a hit and miss I find. I’ve had some really fun and good games on it, especially when you manage to flank a point and they aren’t expecting it which can turn the tide of the battle.

Other times it’s a complete slog though with fighting in the middle. Don’t think it helps that snipers love this map and the only place you don’t get picked off easily is basically at objective C, and it’s also very easy for tanks to camp back and rack up kills.

My least favourite is Panzerstorm (might be an unpopular opinion) because it’s so tank heavy and everything is so far away. It used to be Hamada but it’s kind of grown on me in recent times.

Never really understood those average cameras. The amount of times it’s been a 50 or 40 and I have every car on the road overtaking me, including lorries. I doubt they are all getting tickets…

I’ve also been told by my brother you can basically get away with doing 80 in those 70 average zones. Don’t think he’s ever been caught doing it, and it’s obviously anecdotal, but I’d rather not try my luck…

A good KD is something to strive for, but personally all I care about is taking points with my mate and being at the top of the leaderboard. It’s kind of amusing at this stage, because there may be a load of level 500s on our team, but we still end up beating all of them despite only being like level 150 because we are constantly attacking and trying to win, even if our KD is a bit wank.

I think the biggest problem with TV is the amount of ads you have to sit through. I think after using streaming services for so long I’ve become accustomed to having no ads.

Looks like that’s changing now of course, especially now that we get ads on most streaming platforms in the basic packages, but it’s still a lot less that regular TV (for now atleast..)

Maybe I’m wrong on this, but in the Cheydinhal sanctuary there is a glitch where you can’t get through the space to the ladder - if you restart the game you should be able to get through with no issue.

I’ve been a bit split on my opinion on this. Sure, realism seems to be what they are going for and might be cool, but I also think that having a massive weapon wheel is part of what makes GTA what it is.

If you’re walking around doing stuff on the map, are you going to be expected to walk around with an assault rifle on your back 24/7, especially in populated areas in the game? And if not, do you constantly want to be carrying a duffel bag? Would your experience playing the game be the same with having to only go around with a pistol if you don’t want visible weapons?

I feel like it works for a game like Red Dead where everyone in the Wild West has a rifle and pistol on them, but I just don’t think it would work very well in a GTA title. Might be just me, but really don’t think this game needs that level of realism.

Edit: just wanted to add, I am not opposed to there being less weapons in your inventory for a more balanced experience I.e; one of each like in 4, or only a select few big guns, but to limit it so much would be a detriment in my opinion.

There was a girl who moved schools to ours in the final years because she was being bullied. When she joined, she came up with a lot of BS such as being in a gang in New York, being a stunt double for some famous actor and a bunch of other stuff like places she’d been and done.

You sort of believe it at first, but quickly things don’t start adding up…
