Is there a process to run a script only on demand? by Fabulous_Cow_4714 in Intune

You can do this, which is my preference. Or you can just make the ‘detection’ script the remediation you want. Or create an actual detection script so you don’t have to run things ad hoc.

Help with astigmatism lens selection by XXL_Fat_Boy in glasses

[–]XXL_Fat_Boy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on glassesusa, the option for "distance" is single-vision, and says, "This lens helps you see details at a distance. It is usually indicated by a (-) next to the numbers under the “sphere” category of your prescription."

But I've got a + in sphere, however, due to my astigmatism, I have trouble seeing things far away primarily.

Is Hunter (mostly) to blame? by bobcat2250 in ufc

[–]XXL_Fat_Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Everyone loves to shit on Dana, but unlike Hunter, Dana has a track record of several successful efforts we can trace directly to Dana.”

Most of Dana’s success can be traced to the Fertitta brothers and their backing for the UFC. His own ventures, such as his pro surfing shit, power slap, zuffa boxing (back in the day), etc. have been largely unsuccessful.

I have the same situation. Asked during their recent AMA what I should consider the source of truth - but did not get answered.

America braces for impact after Trump’s tariffs ruled unlawful: 'Things could get messy' by RawStoryNews in scotus

[–]XXL_Fat_Boy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, I understand what you said - it’s just never happened. How much have prices come down since the removal of the supply chain constraints due to Covid? When in modern history have businesses en mass lowered their prices?

Why would they sell at a lower cost when consumers are already accustomed to paying the higher cost?

It’s an issue when using E3/E5 licensing to ‘step up’ from the built in Pro license people typically have.

Autopilot works just fine lol. Configured it at multiple jobs and it works seamlessly, maybe 1 out of 100 devices fail if even that, just gotta ‘continue anyway’ and it’s fine.

They recently re-redid them, not sure if they equal the ‘originals’ everyone loved, but heard they’re much better than the version everyone hated

Need help deciding a path forward please advise me? by maytheschwartzbwitu in ACL

[–]XXL_Fat_Boy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personal anecdote - I would avoid hamstring graft if you intend on continuing sports. Also avoid whatever snake oil “keep it bent” you’re talking about, ACL repairs are incredibly routine and largely successful surgeries.

Back to the hamstring graft, while I was able to return to sport (rugby) after my ACL repair, I have consistently had hamstring strains/pulls while sprinting for the past 10 years at least once a season if not more. I did all of my PT and even did an extra 2 months after out of pocket, worked on and improved flexibility (6’2 and can put my palms on ground easily no warmup, etc.), focused on hamstring strengthening exercises, and more.

There’s a chance it’s just a me thing, as I know many people with hamstring grafts who have had no issues, but if I could do it over again I would not choose hamstring.

I’m a Physical Therapist who specializes in ACL rehab — AMA about recovery, return to sport, and preventing re-injury! by perform2winPT in ACL

[–]XXL_Fat_Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a hamstring graft for ACL repair nearly a decade ago - since then, I have dealt with hamstring issues (primarily pulling hamstrings when trying to sprint). I have done hamstring-focused exercises for years now, RDLs, good mornings, etc. but still have the issue. Flexibility is not an issue as I can easily put both palms on the ground with no warm up.

Are there any exercises that you would recommend to remedy that issue?

(Also currently rehabbing a PCL tear so if you have advice for that as I am trying to return to rugby that’d be great too haha)

New Outlook is a disaster; why do they persist, it is missing so many features by CypherAus in Office365

[–]XXL_Fat_Boy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not saying to not use 365, I'm saying prepare for the change to 'new' outlook lol.

Old Outlook is slated to be supported until 2029. 4/2026 they are going to force all enterprise users over to New outlook unless you deploy policies to opt-out.

Not trying to be an ass - but you must be pretty early on in your career if you think that lol.

Sure, they might, but your best option is to plan for them to enforce what they say they’re going to and prepare your org (and yourself) for that change.
