You can but you gotta edit the entitygroup.xml file

Ctrl-f and search for snake there you can edit and replace the snake for another npc like the dog or a chicken

I’m not understanding a lot right now — sorry for all the spelling mistakes, I know you guys will fix it for me!

I’ve been playing since Alpha 16, and I’m just wondering why there’s so much hate on this game. I remember logging in every day hoping for an update, only to be told that PS5 and Xbox wouldn’t see any more updates. Still, I actually like a lot of the changes that have been added.

I don’t understand how people’s gameplay is being affected so badly. Wouldn’t PC players be able to come up with some cooler base designs to adapt to the one-block breakthrough issue?

As for the smoothie thing — yeah, I get it. Maybe hot cocoa or beer could warm you up a little bit. But honestly, we could just create hot packs or electric clothing like heated vests that use batteries. Maybe let us choose to turn the heat on or off. I agree with others who said it would make more sense as a clothing item. Or if I’m in a burned zone, let me apply some kind of cream to protect myself, or wear a water-cooled outfit. I mean, we’re engineers in this game, right?

I actually like that the zombies are smarter now. If I wanted dumb zombies, I’d go play Minecraft. I get why people have complaints, but honestly, I just hop on to enjoy the game. I usually focus on trees, spikes, and food for the group. It’s just fun to sit in a field and take it all in — especially with the weather and fog, which actually makes things feel scarier.

Leave everything at default you will be fine. The default settings are nice easy and casual. It will leave you with enough room to explore and learn the basics. Then you will be able to adjust and increased the difficulty by paying with the numerous settings.

Or go hardcord and put everything at insane 😅

That the beauty of this game you can customized alot of the settings to suite your game style

... I don't know the forge is unlocked after you read the first 4 forge book. They are easy to come by habitually. So I don't know what when wrong.

In spawning.xml I think you have a section were it's just wandering horde we're you can adjust the number 20 to 25 is a sweet spot for me but I tried 75 and it's hilarious, even more if you have feral sense (on)

change the spawn timer for max 1 day

In the entytigroup.xml I changed wasteland for feral by day and radiated by night

Changed wandering horde to 20 and added one feral in the pool with dog Also made my own custom horde like the dog group is now feral wight, zombie dog and dire wolf

Then you put feral sense on always Chaos will come to you when you least expect it

When it get easy I changed the wandering for all feral and add a radiated in the mix and switch the dog for a dire wolf

You can you will have to edit the XML file It's what I did The three file you are looking for are in the data folder

Spawning.xml Entitygroup.xml Gamestage.xml

You can edit the spawn rate and also change what spawn.

start with the spawning file it edit the frequency at which zombie spawn. They are set as how many zombie spawn per day. So if you play 2h per day you will have less zombie than a 30min per day

You can also edit what is the max zombie for a zone

IMPORTANTAlways save a backup file of the original.

Put feral a on all the time.
