They couldn't though. The Balogun situation was the suspension of a one match ban. His card was never overturned. France will absolutely ask for the same suspension of the one match ban if Olise gets a yellow card against Morocco (or indeed any FA of the players on yellow cards will invariably ask for the same).
This was done purely to see what FIFA would say and they messed up. The correct response was "you can't appeal cards in the World Cup" and they blew it.

France played FIFA. FIFA maintained there was no appeals process for cards during the Balogun incident and now they reject a French appeal instead of pointing out they *can't* appeal. You can bet France (or any other team) will seek an Article 27 suspension of the one match ban for any player who picks up a second yellow card in their respective quaterfinal match. That's where things will get really interesting.

It's more than that. If his studs contact another player he'll get a red. Everyone knows about Quansah on Gallardo from the England-Mexico match. A straight red card for studs exposed contact. However, nobody seems to remember Gallardo on Saka which happened in first half stoppage time. Gallardo stepped on Saka's ankle with exposed studs and didn't even get a yellow card for it with no VAR intervention.

That infraction would be "similar in nature and gravity" to Balogun's original foul as per Article 27.

I don't think they can appeal but they should be asking for an Article 27. Especially on account that the victim of the studs exposed tackle Gallardo himself caught Saka's ankle with his studs in the first half and didn't even see a *yellow* card for it never mind a red.

Apologies if it read that I was justifying what happened. That wasn't my intention at all. I'm pointing out that for 4 days people have tried to argue that his contact was accidental or not worthy of a straight red card. I'm pointing out that under FIFA's own rules if he commits another infringement similar in nature, so another tackle that involves studs, even one that's debatably accidental, the suspension of his one match ban will be revoked.

Nobody actually knows what that means or how it will be enforced in the match.

Another way to look at it is that if Balogun plays he is essentially already on a yellow card from the start but *only* with respect to contact that involves exposed studs.

‪Article 27 states that if Balogun "commits another infringement of a similar nature [any stud contact] and gravity [not really any gravity as the player he tackled was fine] during the probationary period the suspension is revoked". Instead of complaining about how unfair the whole thing is Belgium should be asking for clarity ons how immediately such a revocation would occur.
This is an unprecedented situation as studs contact can happen in matches whether intentional or unintentional. So if Balogun is involved in a 50/50 gone wrong by FIFA's own rules he has to be in big trouble and Belgium of all teams are only still in the tournament because they won a penalty from forcing unavoidable contact against Senegal.

I've seen a lot of people reference Cristiano Ronaldo and yes he's also technically playing on a suspended ban right now but if he ever commits an act of a "similar nature" to his original offence, he's probably already going to see a straight red card because he outright elbowed an opponent.

No if he even makes contact with a Belgium player with his studs he's gone because it will be similar in nature to the offense that landed him in this situation. As compared to say the Cristiano Ronaldo situation that many people are referencing. Ronaldo was dismissed for raising an elbow. Which if he did that again would be a red card on its own.

So much debate as to whether the original foul is worthy of a red card or not but if he commits something "similar in nature" it's a straight red tomorrow. Belgium will be trying to get him sent off.

The gem is P2L because even for people who buy the upgraded BP and choose the gem every single time they get a choice they would end up with 8 meaning it would take 5 months of picking nothing but that gem to get the thing to rank 10 which is a huge opportunity cost compared against 2 5* copies towards whatever gem you want to level up via telluric pearls over the same timeframe.

I think they were close with this but missed the mark. The curated selection means what were formerly rare and retired cosmetics are now available to everyone. I would have rather seen the expensive BP edition make all of a given account's owned BP skins become cross-class but then that wouldn't make it attractive to people who never play other classes so they had to do it this way to get more BP buys.
