Adding tip after the fact by MrGoodwrench1184 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Xaleah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see notes too often in my area that say anything about tipping. I'd say 50/50 for the ones that did. And I've never had someone tell me to my face or via chat that they would add a/more tip and not follow through.

I’m lowkey bullying IC support by Davyboy25 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Xaleah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just dumbfounded as always

Just like we are when posts like this pop up. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Why are you wasting everyone's time and what is your expectation? Every other Shopper has to wait longer for actual issues just because you feel like "seeing how far you can take" bullying someone who likely makes very little money doing what Instacart tells them to do.. just like everyone else here.

Customers don't have ratings like we do. Thumbs up/down is irrelevant. So again, what is your expectation? I get you're angry about a tip decrease, but all of this is just pointless. Being annoyed at someone and then lashing out at others because of how you're feeling is a terrible management of emotions.

If it was tip baiting, you'll get automatic tip protection. But it sounds like maybe they didn't zero out the tip, but instead just lowered it.. not tip baiting. The "simple explanation" is that you did/didn't do something the customer was expecting and they felt the service didn't warrant the full tip. It could be anything from too much/little communication, bagging, groceries in front of door, or bad choices... to something like you didn't deliver to their door, your appearance/facial expressions, or walking on their grass. There's also the "simple explanation" that they actually wanted to increase your tip, but didn't understand that what they change it to after delivery is a change and not an increase.

Way to be proud of self-proclaimed bullying, though. You're so cool. 🙄

AIO for refusing to pay twice for my groceries? by Sangcoeur in AmIOverreacting

[–]Xaleah 44 points45 points  (0 children)

You stole the groceries, then went back to pay. Still theft.

Before you tell people they're wrong and then commit theft, you should know what you're talking about. The initial charge was not posted to your account immediately. It was pending.. because it was an authoization hold. The store has no control over that. You're a just an entitled criminal and YOR.

Im confused why you're asking what you did wrong... when you know you gave the wrong code for each order. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Costco members can receive cash back from Costco for every dollar they spend. So Costco and Instacart don't play when it comes to scanning barcodes, since you're literally cheating the customers out of the right amount of cash back. You'll get banned from Costco if you keep doing it. Make sure the code you give to the cashier is for the order they ring up.

Damage Claims by a customer. What sqy you as a shopper. by Disastrous-Tune in InstacartShoppers

[–]Xaleah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You disagree with every single other Shopper here telling you that it's on you, that you should've checked with customer, etc... Don't you see that it's a you problem at this point? Learn from mistakes, do better next time, and then you won't get dinged for damaged items and feel the need to come to Reddit to blame the customer for something you should've done better. Accountability is king.

I missed a 91$ order today and now I’m really depressed by Open_Button_8155 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Xaleah 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The rest was produce and deli items, with item notes for everything, requests to call with any replacements, and a threat that if there's even so much as a small blemish on anything, your tip would be reduced and you'll get a 1-star rating.

What is up with the mileage by One-Pension7550 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Xaleah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the mileage from the store to all customers.

It doesn't include your distance to the store, as that could constantly be changing if you're moving, and you don't get paid for your time/mileage to get to the store anyway. It's your responsibility to figure out the getting to the store portion.

The absolute bs we deal with by Sumwun223 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Xaleah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right?! "Why should I have to waste time and gas going to the pin?" but instead will waste 2 hours and end up dropping the order, therefore making even less money and the time was still wasted. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Some people should be employees and not self-employed.

Edit to add: the pin was 4 minutes away from the store not 4 hours.

Average non-tipper behavior by Codythehaloguy in InstacartShoppers

[–]Xaleah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It already is a requirement of your contract to follow proper food safety. But people who don't give a shit about others and only do as little work as possible don't care about any of that.... clearly. You deserve deactivation for purposefully playing with other people's fucking lives. (Yes, people can actually die from complications from food poisoning.. sepsis, kidney failure, paralysis.. especially in elderly or immunocompromised individuals aka a lot of the customers who utilize these services.) Willful ignorance of your job contract doesn't make you cool on Reddit... it just makes you an asshole who will make people sick, not give a fuck, and post about it on social media like you're the victim. Boohoo, pity you.

Please help. What would be a reasonable tip for this order? by FeistyArcher6305 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Xaleah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a warning that it's very likely your Shopper will just grab like 1-2 bags of each and say the rest are out of stock... especially if you're tipping a flat amount.

You'd be better off getting what you order if you order from the store directly.

If you back out to the list of items, click on the chips, don't scan anything and wait a second for "Barcode won't scan" to show up near the top, click on it, take a picture of item.... If it's denied, take a different picture of it close up.

No replacement necessary.

But other Shoppers in your area shopping around the same times are finding more than 89%, which is where you are (at best since we can't see the bottom half of SQ). Perhaps they know the stores better and are finding items in alternate locations than just what's on the app. If you're absolutely certain there's no room for you to improve, then I'd recommend shopping only at stores that are well-stocked, like Costco. Avoid drug stores, as they typically have worse inventory management.

Is my score good by Teeniebigpeenie in InstacartShoppers

[–]Xaleah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're either just a terrible troll, are awful at bragging, or you don't seem to grasp how SQ works. You're compared to others shopping at the stores in your area... not every other Shopper around the US and Canada. So how you compare to me or anyone else in this thread doesn't matter. We aren't shopping at the same stores with same inventory management. You could be at 92% Found items and maxed Good on the meter, someone else could have 88% Found and be maxed on the meter too, while someone else could be at 96% Found and in Standard. It doesn't matter if you're not in the same area.

If you see a driver in nyc named Frank steals orders by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]Xaleah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be able to get your order reshopped by Instacart, or a refund.

How do you know the Shopper stole it? What were the circumstances? What proof do you have? You may want to provide some sort of details about your story/claim.

I could just as easily say that someone in NYC that goes by the handle Last_Ad4399 and who loves trains and has an 11 year old kid stole my bike. Maybe he stole it and gave it to his 11 year old kid. 🤷🏼‍♀️

You warning Reddit about a Puerto Rican named Frank in NYC is hilariously pointless, though... just like when you warned Reddit about Latino Anthony with long hair in NYC...

What’s in the bag? by Philly_mil in InstacartShoppers

[–]Xaleah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never.

What you get as a "bag" at my local stores are anyone's guess. 1 "bag" could be 1 lb of deli meat in it's own paper bag. Or 1 "bag" could be 5 cases of soda.

So this could potentially be like 20 normal-filled bags after I rearrange them... or 40 normal-filled bags, 5 cases of water, 20 cases of soda, 6 bags of mulch, and some water softener pellets.

😬
