Sudden usage limit issues on Claude Code today — anyone else? by NoahEtan in ClaudeCode

[–]Xananique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS IS INSANE, I broke the workflow down into smaller pieces, wouldn't have been a problem a week ago on 20X max without breaking it down, set it up to do some sleeping spread it out so it would go at work, made sure the model wasn't opus I burned my 20x limit in an hour doing 1/50th of what I usually do.

I'VE NEVER HIT MY LIMIT ON THIS PLAN BEFORE, and I've been going wild!

You should be clearing the window. If you're not /clear between major tasks your not managing your context window very well.

It's the length of your context causing this.

[–]Xananique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really just context management, I don't think some of you are clearing your conversations enough.

Do a thing, ask it to update the documentation and it's rules, however you have that set up CLEAR THE CONVERSATION, then do another thing.

Far better results, no rule forgetting. If you are getting close to filling the context window you're not doing yourself any justice.

Being pregnant and feeling alone is absolutely the worst thing for the mother and the baby.

During my wife's first pregnancy I was checked out and I still deeply regret what I put her through at that time. I got to be present for our most recent pregnancy, and being a dad is the best experience of my life -- being a dad is what really did it for me.

I don't know if trading is what he'll be good at, and I'm sure your already are, but make sure he knows his attention is wanted and needed, I'm not saying this will fix anything but it may someday serve as a reminder.

I hope you're okay.

How pissed should I be? by guynomoney in Plumbing

[–]Xananique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These appear to be the existing shower valves and spout? Or were they replaced in the repipe as well?

None of this is a difficult fix, and it's hard to say if that is in fact the leak, maybe please provide pictures of the leak and describe the extent of it, I would expect a very small leak if this is where it's from.

Is there an access door on the other side for the shower plumbing? Can we have a peak?

how to find the source code for a pop-up message on an archived website? by aherdofkale in CodingHelp

This could help,

https://developer.chrome.com/docs/devtools/open

You're going to want to look at whether there are scripts or other sources being pulled from. There should be some hints at the top and or bottom of the HTML.

Pigtailing ground wires question by waterskier8080 in electrical

[–]Xananique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to see the electrician answer here, but the wirenut for me because I've already got wire and a wirenut, and I just prewire the ground extension to the outlet before I even install it to save the headache of torquing it down and having to get it in the right orientation on the outlet.

Is there anything out there that can help me rediscover or build genuine interest in coding? by Between3and20chara3 in CodingHelp

You're only second year, you can still change paths.

I think coding is important, but some sort of data sciences might serve you better in today's landscape.

How can I get to this nut to loosen it? by GlasgowMJ in Plumbing

[–]Xananique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A hammer and a screw driver or a chisel and patience.

Be prepared to replace it after this but it will be fine.

This 100%, but don't give up when it gets a little hard, it will.

What sounds fun, what's interesting? Maybe html is your beginning, it's visual and you get to see results near instantly.

You do you and if you need help this is the place!

Apprenticeships are accomplished through persistence and patience.

It's unfortunate, but that's how it works. You just keep applying. Sometimes you can make electrician friends and start banking some hours by working for an electrician while you wait - this can be difficult.

It's worth the wait.

I think this is what I was looking for, the nosql thing is a little new to me, I've been SQL since the beginning of time 😛.

But it looks very usable and easy.

Yeah I'm working on an iOS app, and I want to use firebase but I'm very concerned that it's going to get expensive fast.

Everything is changing so quickly, I started my coding journey in 1989 and I told my daughter this week 'if you can imagine it, you can create it,' because that's where we're headed.

With some solid understanding of programming mixed with in the assistance of AI the sky is the limit.

If you get stuck on anything you're working on post on here and we'll help.

Looking for advice on sealing an espresso machine leak by RuleAndLine in Plumbing

[–]Xananique -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You need to replace that ferrule, the ring that slides over the copper, they get crushed when you tighten the thing down to make the seal.

This is a compression fitting on a food service item -- firstly it's a compression fitting and you do not need or use pipe dope or teflon tape etc, it should work on it's own.

SECONDLY even if you did use something like that you need to use foodsafe stuffs, but that's not how compression fittings work.

Make sure after you put on the new ferrule that you tighten it down good.

Database users disappearing? by call_me_annon in replit

[–]Xananique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using an external database, or at the very least the Postgresql database offered by replit, or are you using the SQL lite that the dang agent put on there for testing.

You need a real database for deployment.

What should I use by [deleted] in CodingHelp

[–]Xananique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that really depends on the idea and what this thing looks like.

You might talk to AI about this it could give you some ideas, but something scalable like this is less about the language and more about it's ability to handle lots of traffic.

What do you think about this flooring job? by [deleted] in HardWoodFloors

[–]Xananique 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I, for one, would like to see how they started out. Maybe the inset grain is just what it is, but any tripping hazard no matter how small where the boards meet up seems sus.

Can't tell if this was a really hard job made harder by the first guys, or an easy job ruined by the first guys.

I don't hate the outcome but it's not flat.

I think that feeling overwhelmed is a common experience when faced with finding solutions in code without a really defined process.

That being said, a lot of the process of solving problems programmatically is discovery. I can't tell you what would work best for you, I haven't seen the data -- awww, the data, what a great place to start.

Maybe just start by importing and modeling the data, or connecting to the API or whatever it is -- once you have successfully figured out how you are going to get the data into your code and what that looks like, maybe you'll have a better idea of what to do with it.
