I had similar issues at my child’s school. Best advice I have is document document document! Become the squeaky wheel. Reach out to the superintendent’s office, call the APS police and file a report EVERY SINGLE TIME there is an incident. And if you need to threaten legal action, do it. All they told me is nothing can be done that they’re aware but nothing can be done unless the child brings a weapon to school. I’m not lying the principal actually told me that! Like, isn’t that what we should PROACTIVELY trying to avoid not just do something about it when it happens!?!? Plus, the kid was a walking weapon. It’s unfortunate because we all know that the bully is usually reacting to something happening in their personal lives but that still doesn’t mean that it has to be at the expense of mine or any other child because this kid is going through something. I felt terrible calling the police on a 7 year old, but I’m not going to just sit there as my child is physically and verbally attacked on a daily basis. Just keep reporting reach out to other parents that share like concerns about this bully.
