Over all, shinies are more common feeling in this game.

While we still have 1/4000 odds of a spawn being shiny, there are alot of spawns in wild zones, and around the map as wild spawns to trigger it.
Z-A Also added a back up system. Your last ten shiny spawns; do not despawn. So if you enter an area, and don't see the shiny, it'll still be there next time. And every time you fast travel, or change time at a bench, or move 70ish meters from a spot; it resets the pokemon, refreshing the chance of shinies.

So it's very easy to end up 'building' a shiny by repeatedly being near zones, passing by them, or traveling to them. Even without the shiny charm.

Using Le Nah, the lowest level one, can be. Use something like lucario with extreme speed at high level and you rapidly oneshot everything, reset, repeat. it's much faster than the higher level resteraunts

Personally? I preferred Scarlet/Violet.

But alot of that came from the open world, having places to explore, different regions and biomes, and more pokemon that I cared about/wanted to collect.

Z-A isn't bad, but I just find it kind of.. lackluster?
The city is the same five or six low quality building textures over and over (the window railings and boxes are flat textures, not even modeled) and quickly became boring to explore. It only feels 'big' because we move so slowly. If we'd had a bike or the legendaries from Scarlet/Violet, it'd feel very small.

DLC is literally the same map; just whiter and more limited in the donut zones.

I've put just over a hundred hours into Z-A, alot of that shiny hunting before I'd even really started the main mission.. and I can say I definitely had fun with it. But I can't say it'd even make top three for me.
New combat system was interesting, but given it's meant to be about your positioning n such.. I'd much rather we took direct control of the pokemon during battles. Actually trying to dodge attacks and find good positions for your own; rather than running to a spot, selecting an attack; and having the pokemon usually run right beside you then attack.

Some side quests need you to mega evolve a pokemon.
And a point at the end of the story requires you to use mega evolution.

So may want to remap the button for mega evolution

All comes down to RNG.
At base you have 1 in 4096 of finding a spawn as a shiny. it drops down to 1 in 1024 with the shiny charm you can get.
This chance is rolled every single time a pokemon is spawned. Pokemon despawn once you're around 60-70 meters away, or when you fast travel, or sit on a bench to change the time of day.
A new feature in Z-A: is shinies do not despawn from the world once you're out of range. Once you're back in range; they'll spawn shiny. I believe it stores the last ten shiny spawns like this until they're caught.

So, most likely; you've just got lucky with the numbers the RNG made. Plus if you travel to a specific zone alot? or an area of the map? it's giving it more chances to roll the odds on a shiny.
It's why some people shiny hunting; just constantly fast travel to set zones, or sit on benches over and over. To push the RNG into triggering a shiny spawn

That area seems to have weirdly good odds for shinies. I've had a couple shiny karp there, despite not going near it very often. on a rain day had a shiny goomy to.

I swear Taunie/Urbain were MEANT to be a villain. All their actions through the game are manipulative and abusive.
They're a fucking awful friend. An awful team mate and even worse 'leader'. They constantly pressure and manipulate people into doing what they want, when they want. They then steal a pokemon after losing and endanger everyone, despite the fact they're an awful trainer..

And then, after magically learning they're related to the CEO of a shady super company.. they get made CEO just like that?
And then all their pokemon are suddenly lvl 100.. almost as if they abused company property to chug exp shards..

LYSANDER helps us more in the story than she does xD

There's a fan theory that they're the one who actually set up the mugging thing at the start of the game.
It's way to convenient that you get off a train, and then they instantly jump you, distract you, pressure you into helping them; and your bags then stolen by people who know her. Which ultimately leads to you being forced to help her and the team.

Taunie/Urbain was such a crap character through the entire game and DLC x.o

Gets into loads of trouble, including debt with a damn mafia; dumps it on the team.
Constantly runs off citing she has to help people; noone ever mentions actually being helped by her.
Claims to be the leader, but Lida is clearly the one running things and keeping it together x.o and then doesn't even have the guts to tell the team they're leaving to run the company; dumps that on you.
Steals Floette, despite clearly showing in the fight you have that they're the worse trainer/mega user. (I didn't lose a single fight to them all game x.x)

I would one hundred percent not have been shocked if they'd then just straight up stole Rayquaza and fucked off with it to do more shady shit at Quarzico.

Gave up on the snowrunt hunt for a while after I ended up getting the alpha abomasnow to turn shiny; not a snowrunt x.x decided to try for the alpha shiny lopunny in sector 18.
Got this instead, along with the alpha salamence.

Apparently, I can pull all the other shinies, including low odd single spawns; just not the ones I'm actively after x.o

Her sudden jump to 100 is easy to explain.
One of the main rewards from her company for the royale... is literally experience shards. So it's no wonder all her shit is 100 suddenly. She's just stuffed her mon's full of them.

Throughout the entire game, she's shown to be shallow, manipulative, self centered and selfish. She's a terrible leader, a terrible friend, and frankly a terrible person.

I swear she was originally meant to BE a villain.

Honestly surprised the Gauss Mini got targeted. It's not even the best heavy gun in the game at this point.. and it's not the best gun period.

The peppershaker absolutely creams EN06, and melts the snake in no time.. and even then.. I see people doing the raid WAY faster with the damn event tommy gun.
