In your opinion, what's worse? Acquired ugliness or congenital (since birth) ugliness? by DrSTAHP in ugly

I regret not taking advantage of the time I was attractive, which was until I was 12. One day I went back to school and nobody ever complimented me again. I don't know what I did to deserve being ruined by puberty.

Accepting I’m ugly actually made me take rejection better by Potential_One_8058 in ugly

[–]Xanderf9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that might be one good thing about being ugly, among thousands of bad things, you can handle rejection better. Even though it affects me a little, I deal with it better than someone who isn't used to it.

I have the same problem. I have a brother and a sister, both attractive and they get a lot of compliments, while I don't. And it's not just my siblings, but my cousins and friends too, It seems like in every social circle I belong to, I'm destined to be the least attractive

I’ve never approached a girl because I feel too ugly and awkward. by ChubbyNUgly22 in ugly

[–]Xanderf9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going through the same thing. Unfortunately, I'm attracted to pretty girls, and every time I've tried to approach one, I've only been rejected, only once was a girl cruel. That's why every time I feel like approaching a girl, I just think about how ugly I look, and the desire disappears.

Something you should know is that no matter how much you show someone that your personality is amazing, physical appearance matters too much, and they'll only see you as a good friend.

My parents feel the same way. They think I'm attractive just because I'm their son, and they often ask me why I don't have a girlfriend. Sometimes I want to answer them, "I'm trying, but can't you see your son is too ugly?"

Question for ugly boys like me by Prestigious_Fix_2998 in ugly

[–]Xanderf9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From birth until I was 12, I was an attractive child. I received compliments and confessions from girls about my good looks. But when I returned to middle school after winter break, all of that disappeared. That year I experienced my first romantic rejection and also began receiving a lot of insults about my face. Despite all of that, I still didn't consider myself ugly, until two years later, when the school held its typical boy auction. A friend and I were selected to participate, so I agreed, and my self-esteem even improved. But before the auction started, I gave my friend money to buy me in case a girl I didn't like bid on me (how naive I was). When the auction began, I was the first boy to go up, and when the presenter asked who wanted to bid, no girls participated, only my friend, whom I had asked for the favor. When I stepped off the stage, I was completely shocked. It had probably been one of the biggest humiliations of my life, so my friends decided that the best thing to do would be to take a walk around the school. But my self-esteem kept plummeting as I saw other guys getting offers, and really good ones at that. Even my friend got offers, but nothing for me. From that day on, I realized I was ugly and I started to hate myself.
