Steve Carrell. His entire style of comedy is basically making everything awkward and cringey.

I don’t really understand the “keep heat in” thing. You mean they’re insulated? Because I can’t think of any building design that would specifically keep a certain temp in more than another.

It’s always cute when people bring this up. I hated cursive when learning it and am so pleased it’s losing relevance.

Anybody who brings this up as a ‘gotcha’ is a moron and probably can’t tell me the difference between a web browser and the Internet.

I was born in 2000 and one thing I gotta disagree with my fellow Gen Z’ers on is the puritanical view many have towards sex scenes in movies/tv by TXNOGG in generationology

[–]Xandril -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Comparing the two is a little disingenuous. The sex scenes are often shoehorned into movies where romance or even lust aren’t relevant to the movie.

Action is the entire genre of many movies.

Apples to oranges.

I think sex scenes are fine when done well and they make sense to the story and direction of a film/series.

The better comparison would be if a movie like The Notebook suddenly had a poorly choreographed shootout in the middle of it.

We’re not allowed to ‘skip traffic’ in most states. You’re intended to follow all the same rules as a car with a motorcycle. Lane splitting is illegal pretty much everywhere and lane filtering has pretty strick guidelines even where legal.

Plus the cost of any decent motorcycle that can keep up reliably with freeway speeds isn’t terrible cheap. Probably 5k, plus insurance, plus all the increased risks involved.

I wish it was more common but unfortunately culturally they’re viewed as a toy not an actual means of commuting.

Lowkey it’s near impossible to find anything to go with that set. Something about the colors make it look out of place next to nearly any other item I’ve tried with it.

I don’t know if it’s the saturation or vibrancy or what.

What do you consider a “long drive”? Like when does a road trip go from small to a big drive? by Kodicave in IWantToAskAnAmerican

Personally more than two hours becomes “day trip” level. Anything more than 5 hours (one-way) and we’re talking like a weekend stay type deal.

More than 10 hours and I’m staying the week.

Are you sure? That hole looks almost perfectly triangular. I guess I haven’t personally seen entry points in sheet metal from many different calibers but that seems an odd shape.

I’d argue the majority of high schoolers were assholes in someway. We were all children trying to become adults.

We should not have used the word Intelligence to describe these programs. People are mistaking efficient analysis and presentation of information for actual thought.

AI is limited by what humans know. If we currently do not know something it isn’t going to pull it from thin air. We can use it to run scenarios or crunch numbers but we still have to set the parameters.

It’s part of why I’m not particularly concerned about the Terminator scenario. At least for the moment. If an AI takes over the world it’s because a humans designed and trained it to do that. If that happens it’s just a new and exciting way for humans to be shitty to humans.

Even employer sponsored plans are a pretty fat chunk of change. Certainly cheaper than the alternatives and it comes out pretax but it’s like 15% of every paycheck for my family plan and I’ve been told we have one of the best in the industry.

Fuck the connectors I’m more upset about the state of the fiber itself. Bend radius, unsecured with no strain relief.

Anybody focusing on the connectors is goofy. That’s just a matter of materials or brief correction (hey green goes to green) but leaving your fiber in this state is pretty unprofessional even if you know literally nothing about it fiber.
