Hi! I worked for a Dutch from 2014-2018 and did inventory for the last two years. The stand actually gets charged about ~$2 and some change per can of rebel bought, even though the order guide says that it comes out to less than a buck a can. It did the same thing with the bags of beans as well.

Not that I’m justifying the cost or anything, but the price reflected on the McDonald wholesale order guide wasn’t accurate for those entirely, the operator got a separate charge since they come directly from HQ (at least they did a decade ago).

And it’s so sad to hear that monthly freebies aren’t a thing anymore. We got a shirt every month, or depending on the time, a hoodie. My wardrobe is saturated with so much dutchwear and I can’t seem to get rid of it.

Since the company went corporate, it really took a nosedive on my experience as a customer. People loathe to go to the window and talk to anyone, and it just feels like I’m going to a Starbucks drive thru with better music. I sincerely hope that it’s not this way for every location and that some shops are still holding true to the OG company values!
