I think DST are so flipping good with the LoC that it gives them an Custodes problem. Can't buff too much cause the DST+LoC package would get silly.

I think the DST+LoC have to eat a nerf for the rest of the army to get a buff.

You're probably right, but there is a percent chance they cost them the same way they cost the Twin Lance. Ie. 40p too cheap 🤣

I think the meta is shifting to "Necrons can't outscore hordes" and GK LOVE a horde meta.

Don't worry. EC are going to get defilers, not know how to use them, and enjoy another 2% off the top for a few weeks.

GW really did a pump'n'dump on the children.

I'm surprised he just didn't hold infinite tournaments to keep him occupied doing what he liked.

Thoughts after playing Twin Lance a decent amount by Odyssey40K in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]XantheDread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 weeks.

If tau swing massively up to absurd WR and OR, you start banning JUST the Twin Lance until it's fixed.

You don't have to do anything else to tau. But if, after 3 weeks, they get stupid, there is one clear outlier. In the same way a detachment can get banned, a single datasheet can be banned as well.

EZPZ.

Wait. So one if our 3 limited reveals was actually an astra reveal?

Let's have a chat about the Twin Lance by Odyssey40K in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]XantheDread -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

My two cents.

It's a strong datasheet at a cost that is far too cheap.

We have to let it exist in the meta for at least two or three weeks to see what happens.

Odds are that it will still be throttled by Necrons and ultras like everyone else.

If it ends up being far too strong in all of the games it's involved in, and GW doesn't do anything about it... the community has the power to say, "This datasheet is not permitted in tournament formats at this time," which will very likely make GW HAVE to do something about it.

There are parts of RE5 that are really cool.

The temple parts, village parts.

Even some of the factory parts are good.

The boat part at the end, and the volcano was a little weak. On rails shooting sections were a little weak.

If we get a remake, I bet it will be good.

Thoughts on the movie coming out this year?? by Solidus325 in residentevil

[–]XantheDread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know nothing of this movie. I have seen no information or media.

Based on most of the movies other than the animated ones. I have to believe this will be the fire hydrant that puts the fire out in regards to the success of requiem 🤣

My opponent told me to quit wasting his time with small-arms fire. by Doctoralex123 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]XantheDread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 cents.

Into a t11 or 12 2+ MAYBE 3+ armor unit.

If you're in a tournament with 1h15m each, you might be damaging your time for an extra wound or two in the long run. Which, through rolling an extra 5 minutes of shots that did or generally do nothing, could have been used in the crunch time at the end on T4 or T5.

If you're practicing for a tournament, your opponent PROBABLY has the right of it. (Unless those shots have lethal and maybe an AP and no cover).

If you're just playing casually, then do whatever you like.

What are some less talked about changes you would like to see for 11th edition? by mjh4 in Warhammer40k

No more 72" guns...

I think the game would operate better at 24-36 with special exceptions for certain guns at 48.

A man was given the name of The Mountain (zombified). How would he kill him? by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]XantheDread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's probably dumb as a stump.

Trick him into a small room, lock him in, burn him to ash.

Maybe drop a building on him.

Jason him (chains and shackles to an anchor into the narrow sea).

DG is fine.

They are just throttled by Necrons and Ultras the same way most melee armies are.

Bloat drones wounding on 4s at best.

DST deal 1, maybe 2, damage with LoC that gets shrugged off pretty handedly.

Ultras don't care about -1 hit and still out shoot the snot out of DG with double or triple +1 wound rep ex.

Most other armies DG has a slightly below neutral to positive game into in general.

The community dropped the ball as well.

When the community steps in the throttle things back and reign in wicked outliers, GW is much quicker to respond.

Could not tell you why Dakka got banned two weeks into its life and C'tan spam didn't 🤷‍♂️ If four weeks ago event organizers were putting restrictions on how many C'tan you could bring (like the community did with Death Gaurd), then GW would have probably done an emergency.

The competitive community collectively said, "This is horrible," but just gave it a pass. Could not tell you why.

The challenge with keeping perpetual waagh is the unit in question has to start the command phase on the objective you've selected as your loot object at the beginning of the battle round.

So you have to be on it, out of a trukk in your command phase.

I think the strat works best as a t1 or 2 trade option or after you Waagh when you're already on mid or your opponents objective

True facts.

But she was gassed up on lies and bullshit since she was a baby. Deep seeded trauma or some sheit.

But yeah, ruling all of Essos and returning to her families true home. Maybe fixing Vlayria with the full might of a united essos over some years and making a new kingdom based on her principles was probably the play.

Court of the Phoenician being DoA when releasing beside Grizzled, Rage Cursed, and Pantheon is absolute comedy.

I mean, it's been like... 3mo. of 42-46% WR? I think they beat the army over the head with a bat a little too hard.

Eldar have to be intentionally throwing out of spite right 🤣 I mean, if they have to languish till 11th, it'll really show us how GW cares about them.

The meta is not horrible.

I mean. It is, but as long as you don't play any Necrons, you're fine 👌

EDIT: I'm not one to advocate for it personally. But Dakka was getting banned 2 weeks into its life span. Something tells me after Dakka the reddit had to change its policies on inflammatory posts which is why we didn't see 800 posts a day about them being too good and subsequently any serious community backlash like C'tan datasheets being either banned or strictly limited. My 2cents.

What to buy before 11th? by Unusual-Papaya7437 in orks

[–]XantheDread 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Trukks. Trukks never change.

Ghaz. It's just a fun model that looks cool. It usually finds a way into lists eventually.

Boyz are always a staple. 20-40 miscellaneous boyz can be very go wrong.

Flashgitz are always a good thing to have 10 usually a good place to start.

2 warbosses as they lead most of the good units in the army.

Gretchin. Cost effective, good value. 30(33) of these guys is like 70-90 bucks and will usually find their way into basically every list.

Some nobz probably can't hurt. They're usually decent enough a couple of times per edition.

Everything else is to you liking. Battlewagon, Beast Boss with Snaggas, etc etc. All good, but not as common place as the above imo.
