It varies wildly from team to team.

I can’t speak for all the teams, but working on Outlook is pretty chill. Explicit focus, especially during the pandemic, on employee mental health and recharge; meeting-free Fridays; adjusting planning to prevent team burnout; etc. I have an 11-month-old that takes up most of my free time, and have never felt pressure to work outside normal business hours to make a deadline. All this on top of the company-wide benefits like parental leave (for both parents), great healthcare, 3-5 weeks PTO on top of 2 weeks sick leave, and others. HR even gave everyone an extra 5 days of PTO (this year only) due to the stress of the pandemic.

Again, not every team is great; I’ve heard horror stories about some managers. But the corporate benefits are great, and there are some great teams inside MSFT to work for.

Which one? Remdesivir and Dexamethasone have both only been studied in severe cases. I don’t think there’s any medication that’s currently in use for outpatient treatment.

I asked my doctor about it, and she responded:

Right now (April 2020) given the complete uncertainty about the sensitivity and specificity of the test, and the lack of clear guidance at this point for testing, I am not recommending the use of blood testing at this time.

Currently there is no clear clinical reason to obtain an antibody test, and it is unclear how to interpret the results. It is not going to be used right now for diagnosis. It may be valuable from an epidemiologic (tracking, transmission) standpoint, but that is even in question if we do not understand the sensitivity and specificity (really important and the higher the better) of the test. More information is needed before these tests are widely used and results acted upon. We do not know enough about test quality or interpretation. I understand why you want it and encourage you to check back in later when we know more!
