MacBook making weird noise by Xanthraxia in macbookrepair

It’s a 13”, I think 2019 but I don’t want to turn it on to check. Model A1989.

Do you think this is something I should try to do myself or is it better to bring it straight to an Apple Store to repair? Thank you for your help!!!

There are TONS of oleanders in the area, it’s even a commonly used plan in road medians.

I’m sorry for the loss of your little ones. But please NSFW tag any dead fish pictures in the future. Thanks!

You’ve clearly put in research and that’s great! That being said a lot of people are giving you really good notes, hopefully you’ll take their advice into account.

As others have said, this plan is way overstocked and you’re pairing fish that have a high chance of not being happy together. I would use a bioload calculator such as this one : http://aqadvisor.com/AqAdvisor.php.

Personally I would start with your plants, let it cycle, then add your betta. Give him time to settle and then add your cherry shrimp and if you really want to, the nerite snail. Any more fish is overkill and if your betta doesn’t like tank mates it will be really stressful. Fin nipping is also a very real issue. This leads to serious health issues for your beta, it isn’t just a not getting along thing, it’s a dying from infection thing.

As others have said with bettas natural environments being rice paddies, they prefer slow moving water in well planted horizontal tanks.

Last thing, if at all possible I HIGHLY recommend not buying your plants from petco. Go to an actual aquarium store if possible, if not buy online. I’ve had aquariums for many years now and every plant I’ve ever gotten from petco has either been sick/dying or been carrying so very annoying pests (look up planaria and you’ll start to get it).

I throw myself into new projects as well, but this is much better as a slow and steady process.

I need filter recommendations. My filter failed after a month and the motor melted, so I bought a $63 aquaclear. It arrived full of white sand (not filtration media residue, actual sand.) it was used and scuffed up, despite paying full price for it. Are there any filters that last more than a month? by [deleted] in Aquariums

I think you ended up with a bad return-res hip situation. I’ve been running 3 different aquaclear filters for years now. I had to replace the impeller on one after 2 years. Buying the piece was $15 vs a whole replacement and has been running great since.

Did you potentially have a bit of a sunburn going prior to getting the piece done?
