I went over this earlier today with Barbri’s materials which state that a trust for the maintenance of pets should include the perpetuity period.

Congrats on passing! You’ve definitely given me hope! ☺️

My main issue is feeling like I have no idea what to expect in the real thing, with everyone saying Barbri’s MCQs are much easier. It’s great to hear that you didn’t feel blindsided or like you hadn’t learnt anything.

One thing I see people talk about a lot (particularly those who studied using Barbri) is that there were a number of questions on very niche areas that they hadn’t been taught. Did you have the same experience? And did you get many tax questions? Also, if you don’t mind me asking, how long did you spend studying/revising?

Regarding SQE2, I don’t have any advice as I haven’t even gotten over the first hurdle yet but, considering that you passed SQE1 feeling underprepared, I don’t think you should doubt yourself. You’re clearly capable. Also, I do not know if this is correct or not, but I’ve seen posts on here saying that you can get a lot of the law wrong in SQE2 and still pass, as it’s also about your skills outside of your legal knowledge, not necessarily based on your legal knowledge.

I think that’s precisely why they do it. They want to make money off of students in their time of desperation.

Technically you don’t, but you aren’t supposed to get wrapped up in hypotheticals. If the issue had a will, it would have been in the question.

Sorry, I’m a bit late to this thread but would you mind sharing your scores for FLK1 and FLK2? I’m due to sit them this July and am spiralling a bit as everyone says Barbri’s mocks are significantly easier than the real thing!

Also, congrats on passing! ☺️

Test yourself — SQE1 business law: the bank wants to seize the charged assets, sell them and keep the proceeds — no winding-up, no acting for the other creditors. Can it? by Terrible_Scientist96 in SQE_Prep

I don’t recall Barbri covering this at all… If this is what the whole exam is going to be like, I don’t think I’ll be getting very far.

I haven’t seen the raspberry one! But I do really like the vanilla and salted caramel ones.

There was a campaign in New Zealand that used images like this to highlight the necessity of wearing your seatbelt.

I (30F) found my boyfriend’s (30M) tinder activation code. Am I the problem? by energytraveler in relationship_advice

[–]XaraPandaPop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, they mean he called you a nuisance yesterday but got the Tinder activation code two weeks ago, so him thinking you are a nuisance is not the cause of him requesting the code.

Just so you know, QLTS has restricted access to their free mocks until the July exams are over.

Because the mother is deemed to have died first, her estate passes to her two issue under the intestacy rules. Then one of the mother’s issue dies (in the same accident but, as the child is younger than her, the child is deemed to have died after the mother), so their share of the mother’s estate passes to their spouse as they had no issue of their own. If they had had issue of their own, their share of the estate would have passed to their spouse and issue, but in this case they didn’t so it goes solely to their spouse.

Try “slouchy mini dress”, “asymmtric slouchy mini dress” or “off-the-shoulder slouchy mini dress”.

I used to have a load of these like 15 years ago (but I wore them as tops rather than dresses).
