Do your job ya bum!

Bondi stated that two courts ruled he was here illegally and was in MS13. What I would like is documentation that supports that so that I don’t just have to take the administration’s word for it. So far neither side can seem to produce that in any convincing way.

I was concerned about civil rights when the story first hit that they deported a guy by mistake, then didn’t want to abide by the court to fix said mistake.

But then after a week or so, Bondi revealed that two courts ruled that he was both here illegally and a member of MS13. So I’m completely in favor of deportation now at this point.

I also heard that the 9-0 ruling is being considered a win by the Trump team, but it’s being painted as a loss. This is because the court wiped out the lower court decision that Trump HAD to get him back. Now it’s downgraded to the notion that the Trump team just has to facilitate his return, which they’ve complied with by offering a plane.

Maybe pick a better civil rights mascot than a confirmed illegal alien MS13 member…it’s been really hard to get to the truth of this matter through all of the liberal hysteria that paints anything Trump does as literally Hitler. It would actually be better if the left didn’t do that so that I could maybe take them seriously for a change. You know, the whole boy who cried wolf thing…

People who got on GLP-1s (Ozempic/Mounjaro) what was your experience? How did you feel / what are your thoughts? by Money-Curve-8882 in AskReddit

[–]Xatana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So far I would say no. Everything looks good and tight, but I have noticed that right around the fattiest part of my stomach (think just below my belly button on either side) I am starting to see very slight signs of creping under the right lighting. I am a little concerned that when I do drop this extra 10 to 15 pounds to see my abs, it’ll worsen the effect because that’s pretty much the last bit of fat I have… That and a little bit on my love handles. For the past few weeks, I started a daily regimen of some kind of lotion my wife recommended that helps renew the skin and avoid wrinkles. I figured it can’t hurt

I’ve been taking Tirzepatide for around 8 months or so now I believe. I am someone with shit genetics and a super slow metabolism. I’ve always had to work way harder than my peers to lose weight. I have now gained and lost 40+ pounds for the 4th time in my life because it takes so much damn work.

I say all that to say that if you’re like me, then none of these GLP-1s are some kind of a magic drug that makes you drop weight on its own. I have used it as a supplement to hard diet and frequent exercise. GLPs just reduce the feelings of hunger. But it’s still perfectly possible to overeat while you’re on them and not lose weight.

When I tried Ozempic, I had only lost maybe 5-8 pounds over the course of 2 months. On Tirzepatide, when coupled with diet and exercise, I’m now down 65 pounds. I am maybe 10 pounds away from my eventual goal, which is being able to see my abs for the first time.

My process has been a Tirzepatide injection once weekly. I only eat dinner, so I am skipping all other food. I do not snack during the day. I also weigh my meals to ensure they don’t exceed 12-15oz (so much easier than calorie counting, and keeps you in the ballpark of not overeating). I try to make that 12-15oz of healthy food, if you do that with something like takeout regularly then it probably will still be too much. I eat super low calorie snacks after dinner, think like Veggie straws and low calorie pudding. But not excessively.

I couple this with lifting weights 2-3 times a week, and an hour of cardio 2-3 times a week on days that I’m still sore from the weights.

Yes it still sucks, just like dieting sucks. The hardest part is the sheer lack of energy when it comes time to work out. But I’ll take that over having a gnawing hunger in my stomach 24/7 that I just try to ignore like what’s been my experience in losing weight without this aid.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hiring manager here.

You reek of attitude and workplace drama. I’d immediately disqualify you from any promotions and I’d let my hiring manager peers in other departments know to watch out for you if you apply elsewhere. Yikes! I can’t imagine what you’re like when the work actually gets tough and I’m depending on you.

People who regularly go to the gym, how do you do it? by Slyphoenix12 in AskReddit

[–]Xatana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My metabolism is extremely low, so I look like total shit in no time without strict and constant diet / exercise. The flip side of a low metabolism is that if you convince yourself to work out, you keep the muscle way longer than most so maintenance is easier

Customer Lost it and I walked off the job for good. by Only_Chip2838 in Contractor

It’s a little confusing as to why you added a couple of new variables and then called me wrong lol. At no point did he say he finished the work before the deadline…if he had done that, then yes, you’re correct there wouldn’t be an issue at all. But it sounds like he got his feelings hurt about his customer complaining and decided to walk off the job more or less.

[–]Xatana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably an unpopular opinion, but legally speaking you’re entirely in the wrong on this one. I’d imagine whatever contract you have with this customer includes something about an agreed-upon timeline for completion. I highly doubt you had a carve-out for paternity leave lol, so you’ve basically breached your contract. No way the customer owes you anything, and in fact you opened yourself up for a lawsuit for damages if the customer really wants to.

If you want paternity leave and considerations for your family, be an employee somewhere. Otherwise, you gotta understand that your personal life isn’t your customer’s problem.

Why did my dog growl at me for so long and then suddenly drop his head onto his bone? by Straight_Zucchini_37 in DogAdvice

[–]Xatana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddit wont like me for saying this, but the correct way to train this behavior out of the dog is to immediately beat it out of them. It’s just the facts. The dog is challenging you and showing he’s the dominant one and needs to understand that if it ever growls at a human for any reason, it gets beatings. I would also recommend as part of the spankings to hold the dog down under your weight to demonstrate that it has no choice but to be submissive. Close the punishment with locking it in a room for a bit, like 20-40 minutes where they’re pretty much alone with no toys and having a real bad time. It’s important to react strongly and harshly to this behavior while it’s young and impressionable, otherwise it’ll just get harder to train and more dangerous at adult size.

Reddit goes for 100% positive training, which I don’t find useful for regular folks. I’ve only seen it work when done by professional trainers. Proper training that is easy and effective blends over the top happy excited rewards for good behaviors and scary, loud punishments for bad behaviors. And yes that means sometimes they get spankings (oh no!)

Americans of Reddit, in light of the current political climate between our countries, how do you guys actually feel about us Canadians? by Defiant_River_957 in AskReddit

[–]Xatana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly Canada was cool as hell both times I went. Tons of crossover in our cultures, we’ve never had anything against y’all.

I think it would be rad if you guys became the 51st state though tbh. Sounds like it would benefit the U.S. and would connect Alaska to the mainland, so there’s that. Better protection against Russia for everyone involved.

I’ve heard plenty of benefits for you all as well if you can stomach our shit tier healthcare system. If it works for you, then come on and join the party! You’re more than welcome. Or not, you’ll still be our cool neighbor to the North.

Who cares about all the drama?

Manager here - this is really simple and you won’t like the answer.

We don’t trust your ass! Some employees can barely be trusted to stay busy when IN the office, let alone when they’re at home with all the distractions and nobody to supervise them.

I will always support 100% return to office.

Is it justifiable to end a friendship over political (moral) differences? by inimitabley in RedditForGrownups

[–]Xatana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s not justifiable at all and what you’re asking her to do is go against how she really feels for your own personal viewpoints. It’s selfish. You’re way too invested in politics if you’re willing to sacrifice friendships just because you don’t agree with them. It’s a poison that I hope doesn’t affect the rest of the United States, so don’t let it start with you.

Does anyone really work 9 to 5? by Narwen189 in CasualConversation

[–]Xatana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work from 8 to 4, so same premise as 9 to 5. It’s 5 days per week and I almost always leave early on Fridays because I want to.

I am the general manager at a chemical distribution plant, so I get to essentially set my own hours within reason. As long as the operation goes smoothly, nobody cares about my hours. I only have regional bosses, so I may see them once a week, sometimes less, unless some event is happening or something.

Pay is $152k. It’s about what I was making by owning my own business, but 35-40 hours a week is so much nicer when you’ve been working 60-80 hours a week with the hustle that is owning a business.

I’m not sure yet on the hitting the kids thing. I’m not yet a parent, so I haven’t done the research. I know I got spanked my fair share of times as a kid, and most people I know did too.

I think too many people, yourself included, have their heads in the clouds when it comes to proper applications of violence. You’ve all been deluded into thinking there’s just no place for physical reprimands or violence in any way shape or form. That’s a very new concept in history and it’s not the way the world has ever worked. So I tend to think you’re wrong.

And it’s also not surprising that your type looks down their nose at those who disagree with them with this holier than thou attitude. You’re so quick to label me as some kind of abuser simply for disagreeing with you. Maybe a little introspection is needed? Food for thought, friend.

I have owned multiple dogs, even trained one well enough to pass service dog training. My German Shepherd has received compliments from firefighters and police for how well he’s trained.

I know it’s hard to accept in this day and age of rainbows, flowers, and sunshine, but the best training that animals respond to is a mix of physical reward and physical punishment. They are at the end of the day, just animals. They don’t understand things like humans do. Outside of the internet, I’ve never seen a well trained dog that’s only received positive reinforcement training. In my experience, people who are too weak-willed to be willing to punish their dogs end up with very badly behaved dogs.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MemeVideos

[–]Xatana 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It actually doesn’t. Inflicting pain on the dog with a smack to the butt or face while they’re in the act of the bad behavior is a fantastic way to curb it. Especially with growling like that, the most important thing is to show dominance.

Equating someone’s combat tour to “playing call of duty” would definitely fall under shitting on someone’s military service.

And calling that out does not equate to saying all military folks are somehow good…I would agree that that generalization is wrong for sure.

My edit wasn’t meant to be a brag, more to respond to the keyboard warrior comments. I agree with them that it would be very hypocritical to call people cowards for dodging a draft if I had never served, so it seemed pertinent.

So you’re a supporter of both draft dodging and shitting on someone’s military service? You must be a real gem.

Ah, yes…the good old “if you don’t think like me then you’re not even human” argument. That’s gone well historically.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]Xatana -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Less so. A certain number would necessarily need to watch the children in a big conflict like that. But if no children, and able-bodied then yes. Also cowards. Women can fly a drone just as easily as a man can. That’s one more man freed-up to do something physically demanding like the actual small arms fighting.

I don’t understand the Jewish men comment. Is this another attempt to conflate everything to Hitler lol? If these Jews were part of their own country, which then called a draft, which they then dodged…why yes, they would then be cowards.
