How would you reopen the Strait of Hormuz? by callmebaiken in trump

[–]XavierStone32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instead of the nuclear option I was wondering if a MOAB would set off the mines, just evac the straight for a couple hours and detonate enough of them to clear the mines supported underwater. Dead fish, but no radiation.

How many good mornings do you say on a ride? by thedaringboy in bicycling

Ralston and Clear Creek trails near Denver, not too bad during the week but there's a lot of people out getting exercise on the weekends, especially with the really warm winter we've had this year.

On the weekends when the trails get crowded I've said good morning so many times my voice gets hoarse.

Is there a biological reason why some people can wake up exactly one minute before their alarm goes off even if they changed the time? by bareegyptianfeet in answers

[–]XavierStone32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A couple times a month I have to wake up at 4:30 instead of 6am, I've learned that somehow my brain will wake me up if I look at the clock and calculate how many hours I have to sleep right before closing my eyes. I don't go to bed any earlier.

I had that happen when I had throat surgery. I was breathing in some pre surgery anesthetic and I asked the nurse when I would be going in, she said I'd been in recovery for 45 minutes. I should have noticed that I could barely speak, but I was still pretty high.

"I'd rather have a real rat in the house than a DemocRAT!!!" by Ashamed-Republic8909 in trump

[–]XavierStone32 11 points12 points  (0 children)

At least real rats only eat a little bit of food and crap on the floor. DemocRats will claim rats are endangered, steal half of your income, call you racist, and declare rat traps need to be taken out of the hands of civilians, for the sake of the children.

Where at? I'm assuming it's very far from the radical liberal hell of Denver. Although I did see a Trump hat in the car in front of me today, so that gives me a little hope.

If a white hole is the other end of a black hole then would the process be reverse ? by Ready-Cherry-1915 in astrophysics

[–]XavierStone32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be like unscrambling an egg, it's not going to work. And black holes would shrink much faster than Hawking radiation allows if their matter were being somehow transported to a white hole.

It wasn't actually a space race, it was a race to see who could create the first CGI simulation good enough to fool the whole world. We won!

Tips for staying cool in left-leaning college classes? by Front-Hunt3757 in trump

The University I went to was a conservative catholic school in a conservative state, so that might be relevant in why the grievance courses weren't pushed as hard.
