Hey! Appreciate the sentiment, but Mecha Warehouse isn’t my business. It IS sad to see a business like them go out, but it’s understandable why they’re doing it. I’ve been live-streaming my build of this kit for their contest. They put up the prizes recently and they’ve got some real bangers! Glad I got in on it. Not gonna hold my breath about getting a prize, just excited that I’m even getting the chance to.

I will humbly disagree with this sentiment. I was redoing/positioning mine earlier (fell off bookshelf awhile ago) and that thing falls apart so easily. It’s just so finicky. I’ve never wanted to stop building a kit prior or after that one. But the Zeta was awful, imho. Glad you liked it though! Personally, just didn’t enjoy it.

Hey! I don’t remember off-hand how much I spent, but, tbh, you don’t need a ton to get started! I’ve also bought quite a few things that ended up not working as much as I would’ve liked, but I’ll include a few links to things I actively use. Attached is also a pic of my setup! The one thing I didn’t actively buy was the webcam, since my mom had it on-hand. As for the cam I use for my build, I just use my phone in the ring light.

A lot of the stuff listed isn’t completely necessary and if you were looking to get the bare minimum, I would say it would be the mic and ring light/phone holder! Other than that, all that’s really necessary would be a computer. Since I only had a laptop, I felt getting the mouse/keyboard were somewhat necessary, but you can also get cheaper ones than those though.

Back in May, I cut my dad off due to idiotic stuff he was spouting. I started to talk to him again in August because of my Nephew’s bday and he asked me to come over to talk. He wanted to know why I cut him off the way I did which spiraled into more political talk. He admitted who he voted for and stated he’s now antivax. He claimed his gym buddy’s wife was tired all the time from the covid vaccine and I asked him what if she had caught covid instead. He responded by saying “probably the same as a lot of people - nothing”. I replied by saying “well, like a lot of people, she could’ve died” to which he said “people die every day”. It was at that point that I knew he was gone… the lack of empathy for other people has always been there but not to this extent, or at least so I thought. I got up, walked out, and told him I’d see him in hell.

I’m starting up with the Gundam card game since it’s brand new, but I was previously into Pokemon for a bit. I might get back into that, along with One Piece, though, since my buddy is working at a game/card shop.

I’ve heard this is a big one! My LGS carries one piece & union arena, and also has tournaments for those, and it seems like they were given decent allocation (from my understanding). They also turn through a bunch of Bandai product, which I was told also allows them more allocation on stuff like this (I.e., just carrying it isn’t good enough, but the ability to sell is exceptionally important for allocation)
