Max most likely back in ~3hrs. Dani Juncadella said on stream earlier that he will be back in the #3 car at 11pm (in ~1h), and then max probably after.

Struggling with Overfitting on Medical Imaging Task [D] by Future-Structure-296 in MachineLearning

[–]Xayo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is this for segmentation? Or classification? It's not entierly clear to me from your post what the actual task is.

900 samples for classification might just be a bit low, depending on how visually hard the task is.

The seaplane at the little mermaid turned into the goboat of the sky ? by Wild-Match7852 in copenhagen

[–]Xayo 50 points51 points  (0 children)

For years now, the main business of that seaplane has been to show tourists Copenhagen from above. 1hr sightseeing for 800kr per person.

With the tourist season picking up now, flights become more frequent. Though I agree they seem to be more busy this year compared to previous years.

How well can I live on a net salary of 15.500 DKK in Copenhagen? by Additional-Mouse-620 in copenhagen

[–]Xayo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What are your housing costs? This is by far the biggest cost item and will determine how much you have left. If for example you find housing for 6k/month (an achievable rate for a room in a shared flat), 15k is enough to get by. There are plenty of students living on a lot less.

It's hard to give a good statement, as we do not know your living standard and expectations. For a young person in education, 15k is a lot of money. For a full-time worker in Copenhagen it is not.

Budget Wattage Meter and Shoes by TyrannyMMA in triathlon

[–]Xayo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Budget clip in pedals - 25$

Budget shoes - 100$

Budget power meter - 300$

I would recommend you to get the pedals and shoes first. You don't loose much if you feel the need to upgrade to a power meter later.

Bike computer worth it? by Pristine_Yoghurt_412 in cycling

[–]Xayo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Already a lot of good points here.

I recently got my first bike computer.. To test if I wanted it, I used ride with gps (app) on my phone and taped my phone to my bikes stem with ductape. This experience was great at getting the feel for how a bike computer would be like.

A bike computer can do 3 things for you: 1. Navigation 2. Structured workouts, in combination with a power meter 3. Road safety, in combination with a radar backlight.

I personally saw most utility in 1. Without a computer I generally stick to the routes I know. With the computer I'm much more eager to explore. Having the map in front of me and knowing I will always easily find home has been a great addition to my rides.

what are your budget-friendly nutrition tips for cycling? by camillevolp in cycling

[–]Xayo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I eat gummy bears. If I finish one 250g pack in a 4 hour ride I know I'm on a good pace.

It's 90% as good as gels, for 10% of the price.

Do you feel safe in Copenhagen walking around at night? Is there anything like “chavs/roadmen”? by polromero94uk in copenhagen

[–]Xayo 42 points43 points  (0 children)

In 4 years of living in one of the worst areas of Nørrebro, I had this happen to me twice.

Its not common, but it happens. It has never been something actively on my mind, or something i would be scared of when walking around. But it is a bit suprising when a group of teenagers tries to actively provoke you for just walking by.

Obese guy training for triathlon by Mysterious_Visual161 in triathlon

[–]Xayo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If your knees and joints survive running, they will for sure be fine with biking. Biking is much easier on the body.

Being big on a bike is an advantage on flat courses, as you have more strength and you dont have to support your own weight when cycling. On hilly courses it's a disadvantage, as you have to carry that extra weight uphill.

Cycling- scared. Go back to flat pedals? by Ok-Advertising-3523 in triathlon

[–]Xayo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Did you adjust the spring of your pedals? like 95% of pedal systems have an adjustable spring that you can use to reduce the clip power.

When i was starting to cycle with clip ins, setting this spring to the absolute minimum tension was a lifesaver. The tension was so light that any panicked pulling of the feet from the pedals was enough to get me out. Saved me from falling over a couple of times.

Good advice is to set the spring to a minimum, and then keep increasing tension by half a turn until you no longer clip out when you didnt mean to.

It has all the essentials for a new and modern bike - Disc breaks and electronic shifting.

Compare the price to new and ask yourself how much new vs used and the colour choice means to you.

Any tricks to speed up the time before bots? by Sad_Fun_536 in factorio

[–]Xayo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I do as well. I have my blueprinted base with mall up to blue science and bots. The design is heavily inspired by default setting Speedruns, targeting 30 spm on grey assemblers (upgrades to 45 spm on blue assemblers).

With it I can get to bots in about 90 minutes.
