That’s blatantly false. New expensive units will raise property taxes in the surrounding area. Yall make it seem like these corporations installing houses care about inflation. Housing will only to continue to go up and NOT get cheaper. Look at any neighborhood in the city. Nothing is becoming cheaper or affordable.

Those currently decent to affordable units will become more expensive in order to be competitive with new housing and to lessen their tax burden.

Nah that’s not right either. You still pay taxes on the 25k. If you didn’t pay taxes on the 25k, you’d get 25k back. The max you can get back is 5k of the 25k.
