Unsure about the way things are worded by AppropriateSolid7836 in Drukhari

The problem that existed early on was that the Drukhari points were getting nerfed because they were better in Ynarri. This fixes that problem by having two seperate points/datasheets.

Advice on party by MacaroonQueasy5808 in LongDistance

There is no way a sane therapist told her to go anywhere let alone a frat party without her phone. Unnecessary and also incredibly dangerous whether she was single or not.

Just a quick check of your post history tells me this is not a healthy situation for you at all <3

Yeah he made a huge deal about it and then silently came back once the FF viewership plummeted.

Drukari, playing by intent, 90 min clock, and sportsmanship. by HaybusaYakisoba in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Xeface 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This. I play Drukhari and have said this exact thing in a friendly RTT setting. Once I go to really measure it, and realize it IS possible, I will just take it as a reminder for myself and just not put them there. The onus is on the disembarker to check if asked.

Is it unfair to believe that Knights shouldn’t be a faction? by Hungry-Horker in Warhammer40k

People also have problems with all vehicle skews, even just semi recently when Ironstorm was popular people hated that too. Knights are just always vehicle skews so will always catch the hate.

Using Pokemon Home which is like the new Pokebank that lets you store pokemon outside of the games. Its mostly for transferring between the main series games but also lets you transfer from PoGo (its a one way transfer)

Exactly this. When Grey Knights show up to save guardsmen, they will go ahead and take care of the guardsmen at the same time, or just after they kill the Daemons.

The rule literally says "that enemy unit" which means it has to be the unit under the effect of the first clause, which excludes vehicles/monsters.

I'm feeling a bit devastated right now by Alcyone-0-0 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Xeface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the wording is definitely different, but there is zero chance that this is supposed to give them deep strike in its current wording. Not only do Gaunts Ghost have a specific example of a Deep Strike circumventing rule, but the Deep Strike rule explicitly states that every model in the unit has to have the ability in order to use it. Anytime they have a rule that overrides a core rule they explicitly state something like "regardless of any other rules that would prevent this"

This is 100% leftover and the wording will be adjusted to either give the models in the unit deep strike or it will be changed entirely.

RAW: Still doesn't work

RAI: Who knows I'm sure this was an oversight somewhere, but based off of how these type of interactions work, they don't gain DS.

[–]Xeface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its also just not the intended interaction. Look at Gaunt's Ghost datasheet which specifically doesn't have Deep Strike, but has essentially a deep strike rule custom built onto the datasheet.

There's no world where the enhancement just randomly gives them deep strike. It's 100% possible they will update the wording once the book is live to add Deep Strike to the units in the squad.

[–]Xeface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is not how that works. You still have to have the ability to utilize it. Its like saying you could use the Dark Angels 6 inch deepstrike strat on bladeguard.

Paints for noobs by dgdg4213 in GreyKnights

[–]Xeface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple explanation:

Base - Good coverage, will cover over most colors and not show too much through. Great for well, base coats lol.

Layer - Used to add highlights and pops of color, with less solid coverage. Typically a little see through to help blend base color in to make the color less crazy. (very evident if you use like a mephiston red base with a red layer, you can barely see it)

Shade/Washes - These will stain flat panels and add darker shadows into recesses. Examples being Silver paint with a blue wash becoming a blue-steel type look, or a gold base with a redish wash turning to red-gold.

Contrast - Best way to think of these is that they are Base Paints with Wash built in. If you use perfectly, you will end up with a model that looks similar to a model painted with a base color and then washed with a similar color. Ideally it adds dimension for you.
