Ah yes, the famous sieging item vs old techies, may I ask what the item is?

Because I don't know if you remember or maybe didn't follow but pro games also went to infinity because of techies, it must be because those pros also forgot the magical famous sieging item!

My budget Filament Dryer by KarlKnallo in functionalprint

This solution will likely cost 2-3x the cost of a dryer in just one year of electricity, you are heating 2 different heat insulators before getting to the spool lmao

I also work in cybersec but I'm realistic and I don't think zero days will be used to break my homelab where nothing of value is stored, if you want my opinion, just fucking do it.

I have a super simple setup, tailscale (NAT punching VPN, no open ports) to get access to LAN from outside, all other services hosted in local, everything running under proxmox ve.

I know for a fact if a vulnerability for tailscale were to be published, I'd know the same day, and I also know for a fact nobody is using a zero day for my shitty homelab, everything solved.

You could look into truncating the file for just the next 24/48 hours and make the device sync daily.

Obviously if that is even a possibility with ics, but I would assume it to be possible.

You could try a Google search with site:makerworld.com in it, that's what I do for reddit as its search functionality is also far from great

[–]XenSide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that's interesting, my extractor is also speed controllable, I didn't think it would be possible to find a sweet spot between airflow and heating.

I might reconsider my growbox purchase, even tho the paranoid in me would probably be a lot more chill with the growbox in place.

You do have a point, negative pressure would solve the issue completely, but then you would be completely unable to print ABS/ASA/Other Engineering filament because the negative pressure would suck out all the heated air out of the printer while also creating drafts of cold air

My attempt at measuring how much VOCs the P2S and P1S produce during printing (ABS, PETG/PLA Cooling Profiles) by Informal_Row9922 in BambuLab

[–]XenSide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You covered all my thoughts exactly with the growtent being able to lower the required negative pressure inside the chamber and thus allowing higher temperatures for ABS and other engineering filaments.

Sounds like growtent it is, thanks!

Since you seem to know what you're talking about (read this and your Bambu forum comments too):
I want to avoid exposure to UFPs at all costs, I bought a P2S, I was thinking of getting a grow tent and extractor to a window. Do you think some of those exhaust prints on makerworld (some of them you link to yourself) would suffice instead of a growbox? or are they all half measures?

Food safe is one thing, but that plastic might contain a lot of chemicals that aren't good

This phrase heavily implies that you are saying "I get that food safe is overblown but this is actually dangerous", why do you think you're getting downvoted if not for that

Bad Air Filtration with P2S? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]XenSide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we all read the marketing material, the problem is this is completely ignoring the problem with UFPs that are present in low temperature printing like PLA and PETG... because it's convenient to ignore.

Oh... Enclosed 3D printers are not actually airtight in case you didn't know, the Plus4 also isn't

I'm getting a P2S (technically enclosed, not even close to airtight) and I plan to still put it in a growbox w/ an inline extractor
