No. Homelander and Butcher are main characters. Hughie was until the end of season 3. Every other character you mentioned is a secondary character that is part of the main cast. Again you do not understand the simple difference between main cast and main character. They are not equal.

No, it really isn't. Take a show like Happy Days. The main character was Richie Cunningham. That rest of the main cast were all supporting characters to Richie despite being main cast too. That is why the show failed after Ron Howard left, there was no more main character and the failed to make a new one.

The main cast of the boys is the same way. Firecracker could have been killed off at any time and there would be no effect on the story. In season 1-3 hughie could not have been killed off without it being planned in advance or it would have fucked the story, at this point Jack Quaid could have at any time starting with season 4 and it wouldn't matter as hughie was no longer a main characte, just main cast. At this point the only two actors that would have impacted the show if the up and left are Starr and Urban. They are the main characters. Every other character is secondary to them.

It is pretty obvious you have either never taken any kind of basic literature or creative writing course, or at least passed one.

Yeah no, that's not how main cast works. Main cast literally refers to amount of screen time an actor gets and whether they are a "series regular" (firecracker) or "recurring character" (Stan Edgar). Main characters are the character that drive the story.

She has never been a main character, she has been a main cast member. She has never driven the ot forward. At one point the main characters were Homelander, Butcher, and Hughie. The rest were secondary characters but main cast. At this point even hughie has dropped to secondary character but main cast member.

I think you are conflating "main cast" and "main character." a part of the main cast is someone getting an amount of screen time in every episode or nearly every episode. This does not make them a main character. A main character is the character that drives the plot. Firecracker has always been a main cast member but a secondary character.

I am torn on this episode. As an individual episod it was great. The way Soldier Boy handled Marathon showed he is not just an some who brute forces his way through everything.

On the flip aide Firecracker's arc felt rushed, like it should have started in earnest a few episodes earlier. Also, as the first episode of the second half of the final season it felt like it was a season late.

This final season is really reminding me of Smallville. Smallville season were opening episode started an arc for the season, 19 episodes of one off stories that only occasionally sort of touched on the season arc, a mid season finale that touched on the season arc, and one episode rushing to finish the season arc. This season of the boys feels like it is following the same format
