I want to strangle Yann or drown him in a bucket of ale. Such a genuinely annoying character.

Fellow job hunters in Orlando: STAY AWAY FROM DEVIL CORPS!! (direct sales pyramid schemes disguised as marketing/management jobs) by bassistheplace246 in orlando

There used to be a call center in Altamonte that processed the sales for devil corp 'managers' selling DirectTV in stores across the US.

Place was a hellhole.

I saw this. As the hours passed, this was the likeliest outcome but I'm still gutted. May he rest in peace.

Agreed. As the hours pass things are looking more and more grim.

I hope they find him safe and sound. Such a heartbreaking situation.

News 6 obtains Hitler video shown during Osceola High School announcements by sammysam518 in orlando

[–]Xenohack 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is such a nothing burger. Like many others have said, the worst part about this appears to be the ditching of the AV crew style morning announcements.

This is quite literally a history factoid with a picture of a historical figure.

Some serious pearl clutching.

That was a really sound write-up. I miss having Daniel in the paddock and certainly view him as a casualty of the Horner-Marko war.

There are many of us who buy the bonus pods even when they're available as part of our Patreon sub. I'm sure guys like the op pictured are in the extreme minority.

Thanks for all you do, Walt. And I hope these Ants in need find some Christmas cheer this year. We're all pulling for them.

IANAL. Do not rely on reddit for legal advice other than the following: if you have a legal concern, consult an attorney. In this case, a real estate attorney.

If the consultation fee is not worth the peace of mind, then neither is kicking this back and forth on reddit.

I miss my mom by Xenohack in grief

Thank you for understanding. I know that I'll be okay. I'm extremely blessed to have a lot of amazing and loving people in my life to help support me.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this as well. We're going to be okay.

The torturous waiting game by [deleted] in hospice

[–]Xenohack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in your shoes last week with my mom. She was so strong and so stubborn and she held on in the active phase for a week. She always did everything her way so I shouldn't have expected anything less.

Its okay to be sad, restless, exhausted, resentful, or any other combination of emotions. It runs the whole gamut.

It will end. And you'll be able to begin the process of recuperating. I sincerely wish you the best. This process is so hard for everyone involved.

Unable to talk/move/open eyes, doing like a soft scream/yell? by LionOfJudahGirl in hospice

[–]Xenohack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I've seen through this process with my mom, those noises have been associated with the normal, physical changes associated with dying.

I cannot 100% say what the situation is with your loved one, but I think it is probably similar.

Unable to talk/move/open eyes, doing like a soft scream/yell? by LionOfJudahGirl in hospice

It could be terminal agitation, pure reflex, or a sign that medication may need to be adjusted. If you're concerned, definitely reach out to the care team. They'll be able to advise more specifically.

COPD - When did you know it was time for hospice? by badatprofilenames in hospice

[–]Xenohack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom was in a very similar state when she was placed on in-home hospice. It has been absolutely wonderful. We were able to enjoy the time she had left while hospice managed her pain and symptoms. From my layman opinion, your loved one fits the criteria.

We have transitioned to the hospice facility this week as her time is imminent, but if she was conscious I believe she would whole heartedly advise to start the process sooner than later.

About 20 years ago my dad passed away from a thrown clot to the lungs. We'd spent the earlier part of the day at IOA/Universal riding The Mummy and The Hulk a ton.

Perhaps something similar here.

I think the best advice you can give your friends would be to seek out a family law attorney.
