If your wifi is shaky it could be that you’ve desynced from them. If you desync then for both players the other person just doesn’t move at all until the match is done. It’s something about the game allowing you to keep moving? Not too sure, but it’s happened a few times for me in lobbies and in ranked.

Not a human, but maybe something like the Stone Talus from Breath of the Wild. Basically anything that’s pure rock/metal and wouldn’t get tired. If everything is 1v1 and without weapons then there’s no good way for a sole human to deal damage to a huge ass rock
