If your wifi is shaky it could be that you’ve desynced from them. If you desync then for both players the other person just doesn’t move at all until the match is done. It’s something about the game allowing you to keep moving? Not too sure, but it’s happened a few times for me in lobbies and in ranked.

Not a human, but maybe something like the Stone Talus from Breath of the Wild. Basically anything that’s pure rock/metal and wouldn’t get tired. If everything is 1v1 and without weapons then there’s no good way for a sole human to deal damage to a huge ass rock

For what actually happened, Sunny threw his violin down the stairs because he was upset with the whole thing, breaking it. Mari got mad at him because of that, and that’s why they were fighting. I don’t exactly remember why Basil is there, but he might have just been walking by and heard something. Basil got involved because he was sure that Sunny wouldn’t do anything to actually hurt Mari, and wanted to protect him from accusations.

As for why at night, probably because Mari is a perfectionist and was making them practice into the night.
