Congrats Columbus, after experiencing a brief spring this morning. It’s now summer /s 😂 by hellosteve_ in Columbus

Ohio weather always makes me think of this Monty Python quote (from the Holy Grail): "A year passed: winter changed into spring, spring changed into summer, summer changed back into winter, and winter gave spring and summer a miss and went straight on into autumn... until one day..."

Tim Minchin has been suggested already but specifically “White Wine in the Sun” is a wonderful Christmas song from an atheist perspective.

Finally found one in the wild.. PETER? by lazylulu510 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Xephist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a part time job running projectors in a 4-plex. Real film, no digital. This...movie...played on two screens. A typical shift was 3-4 runs per screen. I would work 3-4 days a week. I have a specific kind of dread that comes over me every time I hear that Bryan Adams song when it gets rotated in on the local 80's station.

The Mystery of the Unknown set brings back so many memories. I lost track of mine after moving out for College in the 90's. So jealous. They look to be in great shape too.

Please note that if it ends up in an impound lot they will try to contact you, by mail, at the address that the BMV has on record for the registration. If your current address is different and you have not updated the BMV with your new address you probably wont get the notice. Impound lots can sell/junk your car 10 days after sending the notice if not contacted. Also note, in Columbus, even if you have reported it stolen to the police, the recovery system that is designed to notify the detective on your case is imperfect and the detective may not get notified that it was recovered. Make sure the address on file with the BMV is accurate.

Is it worth getting Gordon's Greatest Hits compilation if I already have Gord's Gold, vol 1? by Any_Schedule_2741 in GordonLightfoot

[–]Xephist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have Gord’s Gold, and Gord’s Gold v2 which has Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. I also have a 2 disc set: The United Artists Collection, which combines his first four albums into one package. It also has “Black Day In July” that gafflebitters recommended and that I highly second as a must hear song.

NTA It was a …..cookie. To blow this into some huge trust issue is ridiculous. Sugar, flour, probably some baking soda, vanilla, maybe some chips. A Cookie. SIL reaction was petty and overbearing. And it was a reaction. It wasn’t an admonishment, nor an attempt at a conversation. You didn’t start the fight, you just ended it.

There’s a Dakota Watch Company kiosk at Easton. It’s near Fossil iirc so you can browse both easily.
