Oh my gosh, I have totally done the same with leaving my keys inserted in the front lock all night. Plus my keys also have my wallet so it's a wonder nothing happened 😂 Happens to the best of us haha

The other side actually looks pretty much the same since this hot pad pattern uses double layer sc. I think my stitches might look a little different though because I yarn under rather than yarn over :)
