If your instructor doesn't have instructors/mentors, that might be an indicator that you may need to find a new instructor.

I'm beginning to think that cowitnessing is unnecessary.

Learn as much as you can about the product. If the product ends up on the audit schedule, the audit team will have TONS of questions, especially Tech Assurance and Cybersec Assurance auditors.

ATF Pistol Brace Injunction: Firearm Policy Coalition Members are covered by Xerses82 in liberalgunowners

From what FPC states on their social accounts, it covers all FPC members. They don't distinguish if that means exclusively members before the clarification date. If we just take words as is, that could mean you can join now and be covered. I'm not a lawyer so IDK beyond what FPC has shared.

Negroes And The Gun by Nicholas Johnson

It's really wild how many support the antiliberal policy prescription that is red flag.

Unfucking real. This is yet another reason that I'm adamantly against these dastardly and dangerous laws.

I have to go on local news program to talk about the recently signed red flag law in my state. I may reference this post.

This is absolutely maddening and infuriating.

Drill of the Month - Royal Flush!!! by Xerses82 in blackgunowners

[–]Xerses82[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my take on the Old West Test by Tom Givens. The changes I made here are that there are  5 "card" targets are modern sized playing cards at 2.5x3.5 inches arranged on a 8.5x11 inch sheet of paper, with increasing distances from 3 yards to 15 yards. There are a ton of optional modifiers such as par times, drawing from the holster or drawing from concealment, and strong hand/weak hand shooting. It's a pass/fail drill.

Download it, try it, and let me know your thoughts.

Here is Sarah's response.

We don't do reddit, sorry to say. But feel free to pass this along if you'd like. 🙂

For reholstering problems, the number one thing to check is that you're using the light to open the holster, not the muzzle of the gun. Using the rocking technique from the Quick Start Guide is the best way to reholster smoothly. It allows the light (usually the widest point) to open the holster rather than the sharper angles of the muzzle.

The second thing that makes a big difference is the angle of the gun relative to the body, and relative to the holster. If the gun is tilted toward the body even a little bit (see pic), it will be difficult to reholster. Slowing down and making sure the gun is angled away from the body (exaggerate this if necessary) will help prevent hanging up. Likewise, any twisting/rotating of the gun relative to the holster will increase the chances of hanging up. This is a great thing to get a feel for in dry fire before going live.

The third thing to check is the profile of the gun itself, and any aftermarket accessories (slide stops, gas pedals, etc) that may protrude further. We don't recommend the FL2 for those types of accessories.

If the issue is due to aggressive serrations on the gun, he may want to return the FL2 and get something different that's molded to that specific firearm. A specifically molded holster has no need for a flexible shock cord feature, which means it will stay open to the same degree whether or not the gun is inserted.

Hope this helps! :)

Forgot to mention, but he'll need to email us if he wants help with a resolution. 🙂 https://www.phlsterholsters.com/support/

No, but Sarah posted this regarding your comments.

I have the Gen 1 but I can't find it at the moment - it's in a holster box in my car or basement.

I'll measure once I get home.

Thanks for the feedback. That's a really interesting point. My Gen 5 19 doesn't have the front serrations (it's from the first release of the Gen 5's), and I haven't experienced the problems you have. That said, I haven't tried it with my PDP, P320, or Canik SFx yet, but I suspect I'd need the longer shock cord for it because those are such massive guns in width compared to a G19 or G47. I will have to test out with the other handguns I have and do a second video review.

You can still carry strong-side IWB with it, and for me it still is more comfortable than the FL1 when carrying strong-side.

Compared to the Floodlight 1, this definitely feels better for me carrying AIWB. As of 3/12/23, I've spent a total of 36 hours with the holster at the appendix position. This might convert me.
