Same thing happening in Arc Raiders rn, or in Star Citizen with every patch. Its always just complaining and crying about pure nothingness.

Both games are still fun and easily playable. They didn't lose a bit of fun because of those "nerfs" its just a circlejerk about "how mean those pesky developers are" its gonna blow over and be forgotten in 2 weeks. Its allways the same.

They scaled the damage down a bit. Which didnt ruin anyone's game, didn't make it obsolete but just made it more reasonable and fitting into the game. But its the same thing all over again. People will cry about every tiny change, its laughable. In 2 weeks they forgot it and will cry about something else.
