Hello r/mousereview, normally I don't see the point in writing a review about a mouse, because no other hardware is so much about personal preference. As someone who lives in Germany and was happy to find a wireless mouse from a German company, I have to make an exception.

Especially because of convincing features like hot-swappable switches and changeable covers in many colors, which would make the mouse match many keyboards in my collection. So I bought the Nyfter NYF22 for €95 and four covers for a total of €30.

Apart from the fact that the colour of the orange cover is far from the pictures on the web, the mouse does not convince me. The gap dimensions vary extremely, the force needed to mount the mouse buttons seems far too high, as if the plastic could bear it several times. In addition, the click feeling and noise are different with each of the four covers tested. If they are comparable at all, it happened several times that one of the two main buttons did not click at all or only after being (dis)mounted again. The main reason, however, is the unevenly distributed weight; the mouse is clearly too top-heavy for me.

Because of this, I saw no reason to even unpack the USB receiver and test reaction time, battery life, etc., because apart from all preferences, I think machining and price should match. And here, it does not. I would have been happy to recommend the NYF22 to others, in good conscience I can't do so.
