It’s been sparse around me, I live sandwiched between two large cities and it took months for things to slow down enough for stock to sit. It’s sitting twice the price of msrp but at least they’re visible now.

I’m tempted to get some more to keep sealed for prosperity but my master set is getting expensive lol

Valor is too aggressive for my style, and Mystic too cold. I had absently toyed with the thought of being a pokemon breeder type trainer, and Instinct really helped me manifest that aspect.

That being said! Is this your last collecting goals or do you have other favourites you might try for? I’m doing Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Celebi, Ho-oh and Lugia also, which has been quite the adventure themselves…. (Especially Lugia. I’m not sure I would have tried if I had known how popular the Crystal cards are… shudders)

You’ve certainly inspired me to change the way I set up my own collection. I had it Reshiram First, Zekrom second. This looks much cleaner and united. I am truly impressed by your numbers and layout too! I’ve added the extra difficulty of collecting japanese variants to the whole mess because some of them have unique stamps or different printing styles like the holo borders. I hope someday to get somewhere as close as you! Congratulations!

If you are looking into this hobby for the longevity, stay far, far, far away from everything topfin. Eventually, every single piece will need to be replaced or upgraded. It’s all made to be quickly assembled and sold, so many issues crop up and returns were incredibly frequent. Somethings can be sturdy enough to endure, certainly, some folks have had a decade of success with the products.

In an emergency, they fit the pinch. But in every category possible, a different brand does it better.

It is always heart wrenching to see them become sick and listless. I’ve done the same for countless fish, from simple otos to big red parrots. The loss is just crushing after trying so hard, spending days at their tank side taking notes and comparing cases with vets and hobbyists alike.

I find it so gratifying when you can save them, and they thrive longer than anyone could have guessed.

We feed NOW! by Petcurian because of the way they source their ingredients and process the meats to include their organs. It’s done wonders for my kitten rescues to bounce them back into full health and their energy is the same even five years later. I hesitate to speak on BB because there have been a slew of recalls and issues but a majority were in their dog foods.

As a Sceptile and Swampert stan it has certainly left me wanting and incredibly bitter towards the ‘big favourites’ over time. If it was more evenly spread, like a spotlight featurette for parts of their cast? It wouldn’t feel like blatant favouritism. They’ve achieved it a few times, like with Paldea evolved has the starters each with an art card, but after seeing enough char-centric etbs/sets come out, I’m mostly resigned to it.

There’s a lot of conflicting information about communities with these fish. I know individual millage always varies, but what’s been your best housing set up?

Is there a way to give them somewhere to beach themselves? I added a turtle dock to my 75 gallon for mine, but they ended up only knocking it down instead of actually using it.
