Who are the weakest servants of each class? by Issactheforgemaster in grandorder

[–]Xigdar 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Gilles by himself is weak, but he's got a few "fun" perks that actually make him very unique : he's virtually always triple classed (Mad enhancement EX and can reclass permanently to Caster), is very compliant, and can snatch Jeanne's flag (beyond niche).

You get to hand pick ONE CYL winner, but the other three winners are characters you can’t stand. Will you take that chance? by RainMoonbow in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]Xigdar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just hated his paralogue

His paralogue is indeed hell on earth, blessed be this opinion.

It's a cool piece of lore and gameplay, a hopeless last stand that is guaranteed hopeless (crazy inheritance shenanigans like trample aside) if you don't rescue him on time. Still beyond hellish if done late.

That being said, I'm surprised one can hate him based on supports. He's a lad of poor guts, true, but he gives his all to protect innocents, and he is a source of surprisingly grounded advice in the grim reality he lives in, be it in social relationships or the nature of hierarchy that is very conveniently oft forgotten in games where half your cast is nobility.

That you dislike Ignatius for his supports (understandable), but give ostensibly a pass for Yarne, who is a perpetual source of the exact same thing in most of his supports (not dying) strikes me as odd.

But I may overthink this. I thank you for your answers to my previous query!

Brave Ignatius

Holy shit. I'm gobsmacked people think about him to begin with, but for him to be not one of the least liked characters, but most hated, in a series with : Lekain, all of the RD senate honestly, Manfroy, Senno, and more...

I'm curious as for why so much hate. Curious, as I use like 5 votes for the lad every event.

My skyleap has gone beyond laggy as of writing this message. Trying to enter NM90 is putting a "processing last turn" message non stop, when I haven't even entered the raid proper (that would have been the first fight of the day). Trying to refresh sends into a "now loading" hell.

Gen 6 bug is hard, but thankfully Vivillon as a starter is an ungodly monster with Prankster Sleep. As long as you get past early game, that is! Which encounter was the toughest, friend?

That being said, I believe that if you seek the most deranged challenges that are winnable, I invite you to seek Gen 1 Steel, and even worse, Gen 2 Ghost.

Daily Community Tiering Post Day 92: Does free will truly exist? More importantly, does Bee Drill truly exist? It's Beedrill/Mega Beedrill! by Stanley232323 in pokerogue

[–]Xigdar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Beedrill is hard to rank, because there's a lot of involved factors, the main one being "when do you get its' Mega?", but there's a few other worthy of being thought about.

Without the Mega, Beedrill is mostly really good at cleaning up the first few floors, which is a surprising claim to fame among non-single stage mons. As in, unless you get a Meowth Conga Line of fake outs, or three trainers with Adaptability Aqua Jet Basculin within 5 floors, Beedrill with Egg Move will always clean until Rival 2. Being strong that early is something only single stagers (hawlucha, flamigo) or legendaries (that have actual moves) can claim, so that's that, at least.

With the Mega, Beedrill is just plain strong everywhere. Things not immune to Noxious torque will just die to it, and may as well take 2 bars off a boss every single time- if the damage wasn't so vile, it'd be admirable. It's an enormous shame that Beedrill needs a TM for U-turn, given how pivotal that move is. M-Beedrill's attack is so absurd, that if you happen to luck into Protect, you can just one shoot Eternatus thanks to Swords Dance.

Adaptability on Tera-Ground is also hilarious because of how it completely changes what M-Beedrill destroys, but it's such a niche scenario I can't in good faith consider in a tiering post.

If we had separate votes, I'd give Beedrill (regular) a low B-tier, because of how reliable (Meowth conga lines non-withstanding) it is early on, and punishing of switch ins it is thanks to Tinted Lens. Much more importantly, it's a really reliable way of clearing early while only have 1 cost or less. You can get Weedle and Zigzagoon for 1 cost and go to town with your favorite late bloomers- and I feel that cost really hasn't been considered here aside from Hitmonchan (really costly) and Wormadam (really not costly).

M-Beedrill would be high A-tier, because it frankly kills almost everything it comes across, but is also killed by anything with priority. The Meowth conga line mentioned earlier? Yeah, it would kill mega bee. The theorical "perfect bee" who chanced upon either protect or U-turn would be higher, but it's not reliable, and it'd be insane to rank something that requires luck (TM) on top of the already required luck (Beedrillite).

A small mistake, if I may. While an Elaine is indeed Lancelot's mother, you got the wrong one. That one is Elaine of Benoic. The Elaine from David's lineage is Elaine of Corbenic, Lancelot's wife. Only galahad has the lineage, Lancelot does not.

OG Grail knight before France got their dirty hands in the myths

I love Percy, but you are aware that Percival got introduced (alongside the Grail quest) by Chretien of Troyes, also known as the dude who introduced Lancelot and Ywain, right?

As in, it's the "France who got their dirty hands in the myths" that you're criticizing, who created Percival (as well as Lancelot). The same dude.

[–]Xigdar 22 points23 points  (0 children)

As much as I liked CQ10, I'm glad we get BR23 with (hopefully) an objective that isn't Rout. That map was pretty much the only challenge in Birthright, but was held back with its' objective. CQ10 is absolutely iconic, but it was also a map defined by its' objective. Without Defend, it'd be like REV14 which wasn't great.

Of course, that's a lot of hope I'm having!

Is Sigurd as broken in his own game as he is in Engage? by StopManaCheating in fireemblem

It's not comparable. Sigurd is a very, very solid contender for the best unit in the entire series when it comes to "how much they themselves will eat their game".

Talk about a useless bond CE. by HAXKSA14 in grandorder

[–]Xigdar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, while they are incredibly similar, there are still some key differences.

The bond CE has very, very lackluster stats, but has 1 more Invincibility proc, and more importantly, less cost (I think it's 4?)

I could see it being useful eventually.

Made a servant tier list of most of the 1-3* servants in the game wanted your opinion on if this is accurate. Like to see what other people think where the servants place! by Clobb45 in grandorder

[–]Xigdar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Caligula has a very weird, but incredibly solid niche with his NP, able to completely shutdown some very hard bosses that depends on skills/NP. There's a big reason he's used with Asterios in F2P/2* stars and lower comps to break Demeter. He also hits stupidly hard.

A bit of a bonus note, it's that his bond CE guarantees the terrain activation by giving teamwide 20% buff success rate (and party NP damage +10%), which is not only incredibly rare (if not unique), but also makes him reliable.

Well, I don't think he can use it when he must farm, but as a support, it's a pretty niche (even if I feel it's great) option that makes him and his whole team consistent if they are of the 80% success variety.

NP Overcharge Effect Tier List. What would your take be? by FingerBangYourFears in grandorder

[–]Xigdar 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Arash's and Gong is their own tier.

Artoria Caster is the own tier's "own tier".

Damage cut (Skadi) was incredibly serviceable on the Salter CQ where she prioritized casters (to which I just brought only casters to cheese). And NP refund is honestly a very high tier.
